Alexei's bat speed is nowhere close to where it used to be.

I still don't get why Garcia didn't go to second on that wild pitch.

Alexi has to lead team in DP's.

How did Avi not get to 2nd on that?

You know you have to make sure the runner on 2nd is going before you can go .

Avi just has trouble offensively and defensively reacting instinctively.

Not sure he can ever overcome that. Doesnt mean he cant be a good player, but its going to be a serious limitation.

Nope, Abreu is tied for 3rd in all of baseball with 8. Melky is in the top 10 with 7. Alexei has 6.

hesitant after the play earlier, he had to read laroche and the ball and didn't.

If we weren't facing a lefty tomorrow I would be all for giving Alexei a day off

That ball bounced away incredible far from Vogt. He could have checked for a few seconds and still made it with ease.

We have to be close to the worst team in baseball with a runner on 3rd and no outs

Alexei with ANOTHER double play. Avi not getting to 2nd on a wild pitch that went 60 feet away from catcher comes back to hurt the Sox.

The baserunning confidence is below zero and is resulting in an overcompensation and lack of aggression to a fault. Will it get fixed?

Part of it is the issue now is the phobia about making outs on the basepaths...causing way too much hesitation.

It's undoubtedly affecting the coaches, too.

I think Avi would've been out.

A lot of this crap can, and should, be coached.

QS for Danks

QS for Danks

Really just one bad pitch

Yep, he has pitched well the last 2 starts. We need to start scoring now

Excellent outing for Danks, and should at least start the 7th.

Now let's get another win.

The only thing Avi doesn't do that is above average is take consistently good routes to the ball. He's the best player on this team right now and I really don't understand how you can rip the guy.

And it rolled right towards 1st base. Pretty hard to keep your eye on the catcher and the runner ahead of you at the same time.

Really nice bunt by Eaton! How about another wild pitch

Nice way to force the issue Adam. Let's hope Melky can come through here

We might want to take advantage offensively at some point here.

Melky!

Melky comes through!!! Great job!
