Austin is a little strange, but the real Stars fans here are more dedicated than I would have expected, and the Texas Stars fans (AHL in Austin area) are crazy about hockey.

Well, Crawford should have an early night. Yikes. After these three games, I have no idea how to read these two teams.

Hawks have them in a series of 7 for sure. Stars wouldn't score 4 every game.

Of note, Patrick Eaves has a hat trick in the first period. I'm forced to watch the Dallas feed and they barely mentioned it.

Desjardins has no business being on the third line.

 

I guess the fans who played good money for this one at least saw the Sharp and Oduya tributes. Well deserved though, especially for Sharpie.

Here's the Sharp tribute in case anyone missed it. I'm sure the guys here who watched Sharpy since the dark ages appreciates his worth as a Hawk. Still miss him... hopefully he'll find his way back here at some point.

I totally agree. I remember having these discussions 5 years ago, 3 years ago, last year, ect. We always have them during the regular season. "These guys are scaring me, they just don't look right..."

 

Then comes playoff time, and they are able to flip the switch. They have been doing it long enough where I just don't get concerned any more. They have earned the benefit of the doubt.

 

And when in doubt, you can just go nuclear and put 19 and 88 together. It's always a game changer in the playoffs and they dominated the 3rd on Thursday night. It's a nice problem to have.

Good excuse. You need to try for 60 minutes if you plan on advancing in the SC playoffs. The Caps don't do it either, that's why Ovi can't even make the conference finals.
