Makes a ton of sense. Putting the Draft in Chicago will make the state of the NHL in the United States look much healthier than it actually is.

It still cracks me up to travel, especially in the South and try to bring up hockey, and people have no idea what the f*** you are talking about. Being in Chicago for this Hawks era definitely makes you think the country has a different perspective than it actually does in reality.

Austin is a little strange, but the real Stars fans here are more dedicated than I would have expected, and the Texas Stars fans (AHL in Austin area) are crazy about hockey.

Dallas will support a winner.

Lots of scratches tonight.

Lehtonen is giving up so many juicy rebounds.

Klingberg scores. 2-0 Dallas.

Ugh, apparently it is the Hawks turn to get blown out.

Two garbage goals. Not a great start.

Can't really help the second one. Deflected off Hammer.

Dallas has no D. A 2 goal lead isn't safe.

Still waiting for the Niemi tribute video.

Benn, Seguin, Eakin line having their way with a lethargic Blackhawks effort.

Eaves scores again. 3-0 Stars.

4-0 Stars. Dallas looks better than they have since Christmas (a game I was at in Chicago gear)

Well, Crawford should have an early night. Yikes. After these three games, I have no idea how to read these two teams.

Hawks have them in a series of 7 for sure. Stars wouldn't score 4 every game.

Of note, Patrick Eaves has a hat trick in the first period. I'm forced to watch the Dallas feed and they barely mentioned it.

Desjardins has no business being on the third line.

I guess the fans who played good money for this one at least saw the Sharp and Oduya tributes. Well deserved though, especially for Sharpie.

They showed it on the Dallas feed. Classy stuff by the Hawks.

Even though they can't spell "Sharpie"

UC is a mausoleum at this point.

Stars are on the bus. Blackhawks score. 4-2 Stars. UC back alive.

God a 7 game series between these teams would be epic

Here's the Sharp tribute in case anyone missed it. I'm sure the guys here who watched Sharpy since the dark ages appreciates his worth as a Hawk. Still miss him... hopefully he'll find his way back here at some point.

They look AWFUL. And we know they aren't this bad. It's clear they are on cruise control for a little bit here, we'll see how long this lasts.

Happens every year after a longer road trip. They get home and set in cruise control. It happens, they have earned it, but when I pick tickets, I try to remember to avoid these periods of the year

Could be worse, they could be the Wild, 8 in a row and their coach is gone

I totally agree. I remember having these discussions 5 years ago, 3 years ago, last year, ect. We always have them during the regular season. "These guys are scaring me, they just don't look right..."

Then comes playoff time, and they are able to flip the switch. They have been doing it long enough where I just don't get concerned any more. They have earned the benefit of the doubt.

And when in doubt, you can just go nuclear and put 19 and 88 together. It's always a game changer in the playoffs and they dominated the 3rd on Thursday night. It's a nice problem to have.

Dallas didn't actually try. They don't do a lot of trying in the 3rd, it appears. Scored 4 on the Caps in the second to go up 4-0. Won 4-3

Good excuse. You need to try for 60 minutes if you plan on advancing in the SC playoffs. The Caps don't do it either, that's why Ovi can't even make the conference finals.
