Hoiberg on the after game buffet: "Nice! I like food."

I predict:

Cavs 116

Bulls 106

(we now have a bad defense and a better offense, expect a lot more high scoring games)

LeBron: 38 PTS

Rose: 21 PTS in 26 minutes

Also, the Pelicans/GSW game should be fun too. I expect a monstrous night from Anthony Davis.

NBA LEAGUE PASS FREE PREVIEW WEEK!

So starts the Bulls 50th season. As if I didn't feel ancient already, I went to the Bulls very first home game ever in 1966.

I think the Bulls win tonight. They usually do much better in the regular season against the Cavs/LeBron. It is when the season is on the line that the LeBron led teams crush the Bulls.

That's insane. - BigEd's post not SS2k5s

This is my completely uneducated guess as well. Im somewhat intrigued to see how they do under a new coach.

Without defense, I don't know. The bulls were never really offensive juggernauts, they just shut other teams down.

If they make 3's they can stay with anyone.

I think Bulls finish closer to the 6th see than the 1st. They will win tonight though.

Hence the intrigue. My dislike of Thib's is well documented on this forum and one of the issues was (imo) about his offense.

I dont think the defense is going to drop off as much as people think. Thibs defensive concepts had been largely adopted across the league and the Bulls still have a lot of experience playing it. I just dont think their entire tape sessions will be dedicated to it.

I agree. Its not like football where they are entirely changing the defensive concept. They are almost undoubtedly going to give up more points, but that will be because they play at a faster pace.

The defense last year sucked. I think 19th overall. They were slipping even with Thibs. That's partly do to Gasol being awful and having a broken Noah, so they should be a little better this year. This team is going to be in 115-105 games more than 85-80. Thank. Freaking. God.

I have DirecTV and it's supposed to pour tonight. Damn it I've been waiting for this for so long and now I won't get to see it.

Can't believe that's a thing in 2015

Cavs playing physical on the inside, and no fouls being called. Bulls are getting to the rim at will with Rose out there.

Stadium is empty. Thanks Obama?

slow start like always for a hoiberg team

So I see Rose lasted 15 minutes of game time before getting hurt. This is an improvement compared to the preseason.

No I'm not joking.
