I'd do that Gasol trade in a second. The protection would probably go to top 8 protected.

So. . . . . connecting the dots. Kings want to make a trade with Bulls, however must call Philly for approval.... And all of a sudden an Okafor rumor pops up with Philly "gauging interest". Bulls may be looking for this deal to get a whole lot bigger.

Considering Gasol IS opting out, and the Bulls do still have a non=zero chance to resign him, this is a great deal for the Bulls.

People can b**** at ozzfest all they want, but if the Bulls don't move a piece or 2,particularly Pau who could get you something, it is a GarPax fail. I can't blame them for not trading Snell. Someone would actually have to want him.
