I think the Mets have a legit shot. My fear with the Dodgers has been the lack of a #3, but more importantly, their offense not clicking. Honestly, only Turner was consistent this whole year. And the way they're talking about Puig in LA now makes me think he could be had for Samardzja, much less Q.

 

In the end, the Dodgers lost this game and this series. If they had a legit #3, they probably win Game 3. They're not gonna put up with Friedman if he still runs things like he's in TB.

Yes, but he wasn't there all year and they knew he wouldn't be. They needed a legit #3 all year long. They didn't want to trade Puig because they believed they were going to need him even though his teammates didn't like his personality (by all accounts, he's a fiery guy who also likes to have fun; not a dick, but just a loud guy). Mattingly sparingly used him and they have a few options at OF. They should've moved him.

Yep. That's another benefit of having a #3 in the playoffs. He doesn't have to win you the game, just give you a shot to win it. Mets have that.
