Trump thinks the DNC leaked it themselves, but I don't see how that makes any sense whatsoever.

It seems like it contains a summary of legitimate information with quotes/sources, but it's all relatively easily publicly sourced info rather than some of the deeper stuff oppo research at this level usually digs up.

Trump's been saying dumber things loudly at a rapid pace lately, so I'm not sure how useful it really even is.

Well since they know they've been hacked, it makes a lot of sense for them to leak an abbreviated version. I certainly see that as plausible. Either that or the hackers didn't get as much as been reported. Theres no way that's their whole attack plan.

The current attack plan seems to be "sit back and and watch him destroy himself," but I do agree that that seems somewhat light. Buzzfeed, WaPo and others have already dug up more than that. Keep in mind though, it's dated from last December. They've had another six months to dig deeper even if that is all they had back then.

starting to believe trump is actually a secret democrat plant, no one actually wanting the office would say these things

He is literally like a message board poster, and as we all know, those people aren't stable

Wite is having the same exact problem the Republican Party is having...defending the indefensible and/or trying to turn it around and make it where the Dems and Trump are somehow equally responsible for this toxic political climate.

What would Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan have to say about their fellow Republican?

One would guess they wouldn't be too impressed.

How about Eisenhower? Coolidge? Grant? Bush? Taft? McKinley? Harrison? Harding?

Only 3 republicans listed. You've lost your touch Caulfield.

Teddy would take a gutshot and still keep coming after Trump in a quixotic 3rd party campaign.

So Trump may have just been taking the "run a campaign as a grifting scheme" to levels far beyond what previous grifters ever dreamed of.

Trump is indeed considering creating his own media business, built on the audience that has supported him thus far in his bid to become the next president of the United States. According to several people briefed on the discussions, the presumptive Republican nominee is examining the opportunity presented by the “audience” currently supporting him. He has also discussed the possibility of launching a “mini-media conglomerate” outside of his existing TV-production business, Trump Productions LLC.

...

Trump, this person close to the matter suggests, has become irked by his ability to create revenue for other media organizations without being able to take a cut himself. Such a situation “brings him to the conclusion that he has the business acumen and the ratings for his own network.” Trump has “gotten the bug,” according to this person. “So now he wants to figure out if he can monetize it.”

Trump, extending his brilliant money making scheme to the profitable cable tv media market.

Trump Superstation....just like the YES Network, Fox and NESN.

The irony is that it just might work. Of course, he'd have to cut off access to all of the free tv/cable news organizations that have given him so much unpaid coverage. That would end up backfiring. And it's even a thornier issue as a sitting US president to try to monetize your own brand when politicians have to set aside all their assets in a blind trust when in office to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest. (We're already seeing it play out with the PGA and his massive DC restaurant project, where politics are intruding into business and vice-versa, or the Miss USA/Miss World pageants, etc.)

Would it just be t.v., or to the full array of other media avenues such as print and radio, because those formats aren't his specialty (anything that requires substance or him speaking articulately, even to the extent that Limbaugh or Huckabee do.)

In the moment, anything seems possible. Just look at the Kardashians, for example.

And yet someone like Sarah Palin, with her fervent following, wasn't able to go in this direction...granted, she makes a nice living giving speeches and doing appearances and taking to twitter occasionally, but it's not a 24 hour thing for her.

I always said he should have a press conference and say "ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce my VP choice.........

**music starts**

OH MY GOD...IT'S VINCE KENNEDY MCMAHON..........

John McCain's trying to get on the short list by "sort of" blaming Obama for Orlando.

He has nothing to lose at his age except for remaining shreds of dignity and respect.

Didn't Sarah Palin get those as a consolation prize?

Trump is largely outsourcing what's typically called a campaign's ground game, which includes the labor-intensive jobs of identifying and contacting potential supporters. Ed Brookover, recently tapped to serve as the Trump's liaison to the RNC, says the campaign is making progress on adding its own staff in key states.

The campaign estimates it currently has about 30 paid staff on the ground across the country.

lmao

outside shot at the House with this historically incompetent non-campaign Trump's running.

I know I know soxtalkers. These are all lies. Even though this Secret Service agent testified in the Lewinsky case and was the last line between the door of the oval office and Bill Clinton. These are all lies. The author of the book made it all up about Clinton running the White House like a brothel and Hillary being a not so likeable person.

The guy is risking lawsuits and releasing this book.

But it's all lies and Bill and Hillary deserve to be White House residents the next 8 years.

Um, not sure how this reflects poorly on Hillary?

Um, not sure how this reflects poorly on Hillary?

The book has a zillion attacks on her as well apparently.

This was a gem. ...

"Her only concern was herself, Byrne says. “Mrs. Clinton was a joke, taking herself and the entire administration minutiae so seriously. Her ‘brand’ was her only concern. She was a faux leader, all bark, no bite, but in a very real power position as first lady.”

One exchange with her protective detail went this way:

“Good morning, First Lady,” an officer said.

“Go f- -k yourself,” she replied.

That's what every partisan attack book will do Greg, throw 100 things against the wall and hope that 3-5 of them stick.

Everyone loves to see one-sided barrages against their favorite targets, but the world is much more nuanced than that. The problem is that truly objective non-fiction political books just don't sell as well.

Unfortunately, some people believe everything they read.

Do you not believe the author was the No. 1 Secret Service agent closest to Bill and Hillary? Why would he make it all up? Truth is a defense against lawsuits. It's almost cult like with Hillary's backers. They want her to be President no matter what. What would it take for Hillary supporters to believe what that guy wrote? Why do they want this person in office?

So you don't believe the author? You believe a guy who had the access he had would just make it all up? Why would he make it up? Hillary will just laugh as she does when asked about the book and say, 'Well, none of it is true and I could tell you some stories about the person who wrote that book!" Applause, standing ovation, vote for Hillary.

Clinton was meeting Lewinsky on the sly. Why is it so difficult to think he had several other mistresses? As far as Hillary? Why would he make up what a terrible person she is (in his eyes). If reporters wanted to try, I'm sure they could get others to affirm the stories, but nobody will do that. Everybody wants Hillary to win and they'll just write this off as gossip and lies.
