Yeah you are right. He took about 4 steps after the ball was hit. He could have at least made it a bit closer by freezing on a line drive like you are taught as an 8 year old.

Preller has redefined what it means to tank. Even in the NL where all the terrible teams should keep them all above 65-70 wins I think there's a chance San Diego truly sets itself apart in a class of its own.

It's always the teams not actually trying to tank that are the worst

Look at the Reds, Braves, and Phillies lineups though.

He went from 70 pitches in 4.1 innings to 71 in 5. And what is your point exactly? That he's on pace to go 7+ innings?

No, my point is that Gray had thrown far more pitches than Rodon

So far Rodon has looked better than Q and Sale IMO.
