They are not going to gut the farm for another pitcher. Carson Fulmer is not going anywhere either. They will try to get him some successful time at AA, and then they will move him to Charlotte when they think he is ready. I can't see him up here before August 1.

 

Adams is probably going to be gone for someone like Reddick. I can see Sanchez and some other prospects getting moved for a pitcher.

 

Too bad we didn't deal Anderson in the offseason if we wanted another bat his value is taking a hit right now if we were going to keep Sanchez and Saladino.

I just didn't want the bullpen to get burned today. 5 innings looks like too much to ask for.

I think he can gut out one more. I do not see him getting another chance to start for a long time.

Again, being realistic, if the Sox were willing to trade any of Adams, Anderson, or Fulmer, they would have already done it this off season when a player like that could net a better player than they can at the trade deadline.

 

The big thing the Sox have working in their advantage this team is that if they stay contenders, they should be able to pick up some money, which opens up more possibilities.
