Chris is getting hit around a little bit right now. Lots of solid contact so far.

I wouldn't call that last hit solid contact. But I agree.

Hawk can stop saying Kansas city special now. Pretty sure KC isn't getting many of those this year so far.

The Gardner one? Yeah not that one, but Headley's HR, Teixeira's fly out, and the leadoff single were all squared up.

Avi still hitting it hard but right at people

Severino starting to find it.

Avila goes with the pitch for a nice single.

It's time to stop worrying about Avila's bat.

Yankees used their bullpen a lot against the Royals. Nice to see Severino already at 70 pitches.

He probably won't hit higher than .250, but he's got great discipline. He'll get on at a .330-.340 clip.

You want good contact out of the 2 spot, Sox don't exactly have a ton of those guys. I'd say Lawrie or AJax can both work better. Lawrie Ks a bit too much for my liking in that spot, but he's been hitting pretty damn well so far. I'm much more confident in his ability to hit a fastball right down the pipe than Rollins.

Abreu is the best option to bat second.

Abreu

Melky

Austin with another good PA. 2 walks now.

Atta boy Eaton!

Hicks got an awful jump on that ball.

Hicks really misplayed that one.

Good lead for sale. Don't stop now boyzzz!

Jimmy needs to stop with his little leg lift in his pre-load. It's making him late on fastballs in the zone. I know he had issues rolling over early in the season, but there's some guys you shouldn't wait on against. Severino's one of them.

That really shows how important defense is to winning ballgames. Gotta catch the ball, number one rule in baseball.

JROLL!!! 7-1

Hell ya!

I think he can do the leg lift all he wants lol

(As James Brown used to say,) Hit it, Jimmy!

I will eat all the crow!
