2 hours later, we're in the 7th inning. I didn't think Yankees game lasted under 3 hours.

This is a nice bounceback for a team on a two game losing streak, plus having burnt toast of a bullpen from the trip to Texas. The day off, plus Chris Sale cruising tonight should have the pen back at full strength again tomorrow.

Look at that nice .381 OPB by Avila

Sale should complete this game. 64 PC in the 7th

Sale's evolution this year reminds me a lot of what Sabathia did to become such a dominant pitcher in 2007. Sabathia used to throw nothing but 94-97 MPH fastballs when he first came up. He was good, but not great. Then he started changing speeds on his fastballs. He'd have different variations, a lot like Chris right now.

Then we need to consider the defense. It's making it so he (and Quintana) don't have to rely on themselves to record outs. Sale's becoming an even better pitcher and that's scary for the rest of the league.

Sale is just on autopilot.

Or super sim

It's certainly taken some pressure off of them. Now they can just worry about pitching.

Severino with an elbow issue...yikes

Sevarino has pain the back of his elbow, and it getting an MRI. That isn't good.

77 pitches through 7? f***ing Sale man. Keep doing you.

Yankees just want this one over. Nice lol

84 PC in 7.2 IP. Couldn't pitch it any better on a video game

Really pulling for a Maddux from Sale.

(Does a Maddux have to be a CGSO or just complete game?)

N A S T Y nasty

Just give him the Cy Young now. What's the point in waiting? 8-0. f***ing insane.

Sale for Cy Young

His own teammate might have some say.

He is just making it look easy.

Sale has been a bullpens best friend this season.

I think he has been hurt all year.

This team has great bounce back ability.

He was still pumping out 97-98 early in the game.
