5/18 White Sox vs Astros

Avi still can't do anything with an inside fastball. This team desperately needs lefty power. 6 homers all year from lefties.

Boston leading KC 4-1 behind Price and Cincy finally takes a lead to the 9th against CLE.

When you don't take advantage of runners in scoring position, you don't win. Pitching is not getting it done, we knew they couldn't keep it up all year. The Sox need to score more runs and need to get creative, because whatever they are doing now is not working. Just like that Runner on 3rd 1 out. Can't get him in. That's what frustrates me the most. Not the pitching, but the situational hitting.

It's valmost a given that we can't get the runs in with less than 2 out

I hate to say it, but maybe we are seeing why Oakland was so willing to part with Lawrie for so little.

He did look a lot better earlier this year, so hopefully he can figure it out anyways.

Would be a shame if Abreu's rookie year turns out to be the best year of his career.

Our last week has looked liked this:

Wow Lawrie just looks sooooo bad lately.

He needs to sit for at least a day.

This entire team has a real issue with swining at inside pitches off the plate.

Avi has gone back to hack and slash at everything.

See Carlos Quentin 2008, Gordon Beckham 2009, Dayan Viciedo 2012.

League adjusted to him and he has seemingly not been able to recover. He is having a very poor season.

pounding him inside and then down and away

Why didn't Robin bring in Jennings against Moran?

Did he just bat flip a single?

Our bullpen is filled with a bunch of guys who don't have much "stuff." No real fireballers, etc. Other than Robertson, I don't trust a darn guy in their bullpen right now.

Jones

Need a good comeback win to get the juice back.

Not everyone can have a Betances, Miller, and Chapman monster.

Albers (up until his collapse), Jones, and Robertson have been pretty solid.

Yep, forgot about Mr. Jones.

Shocked Fister still in

we own the 7th 8th and 9th

Now get him in and stop leaving them on base

Indians tie it of course against worst bullpen ever

The poor play continues:

Latos: The guy's a pumpkin. 4 duds in a row. This team is over dependent on Sale/Quintana winning every game at the moment.

Defense: Announcers got on Melky for not throwing to 2nd, but if Frazier simply comes up with that throw, he's out. Frazier the next inning had one bounce off his glove. Not called an error but if he fields cleanly, he's out. And Rollins. Many have said he has no range and boy is that true. But he also never lays out for a ball. Afraid to get dirty? Keep it in the infield. And Lawrie has gone down batting and fielding. the bobbles.

Offense: Another runner left at 3rd with one out. Abreu not showing much. AJax is a pitcher hitting.

Starting to see a lot of holes exposed on this team.

Amazing how little power Jackson has. He's like the Latos of hitters where they just look done in terms of being a MLB contributor
