He had no business swinging at that ball. Way in on his hands & he hasn't been turning & burning on anything lately. He really needs to get a zone figured out of what he should swing at.

Latos gets ahead 0-2 & somehow lost Napoli for a walk... Frustrating.

To be fair, both of those initial called strikes were probably balls. Joe West is an inconsistent and terrible umpire, but at least he's unbiased in his unabashed ineptitude.

 

Latos scared of Napoli from the first-inning HR, I guess. Seems unnecessary- just don't hang offspeed pitches.

Latos leaving a lot up in the zone & for the most part has got away with it.

Hopefully Latos can go 6 or 7 innings today.

Good to get the lead runner. 2 down now get out of this inning to Mat
