Pretty hard to justify sitting Eaton with his numbers against LHP this year and the fact that we REALLY need all our best horses to get going to carry the team through this ten game road trip.

And that's why he is sitting him, 4 for 23 lifetime against Duffy.

Ignoring his 929 OPS vs LHP this year so far in 51 AB's.

Not to mention the fact that Danny Duffy has just come back to the rotation and is likely to face Eaton only twice...maybe, just maybe...three times.

And they say that Ventura's not really a genius using his intuition about line-ups. His last week, he's 6 for 34 so we MUST sit him despite his being one of the Top 5 players in baseball.

That's not even taking into account how bad we make our defense in one of the bigger outfields to patrol in the AL...east of Safeco and south of Minnesota.

(And I'm going to go out on a limb that most of those 23 at-bats came in 2014, when the Royals owned the Sox and Duffy looked like one of the most promising lefties in the AL the first 3-4 months of that season before injuries took their toll down the stretch. Not sure how relevant a handful of at-bats are in 2014. SAMPLE SIZE SAMPLE SIZE SAMPLE SIZE.)

Worse, in 23 at bats Duffy has struck him out 8 times.

Heck of a leadoff hitter...not

At least J Roll is near the bottom of the line up.. but wtf is Jackson leading off? Wow

Quick 1,2,3 from the Sox.

7 pitch inning. Two straight games I believe

Any guess to whether Eibner becomes the latest Sox killer in a KC uniform?

I like that Rollins has an OPS of 1.433 vs lefties so when we face one, Ventura finally moves him down. And then moves Jackson up with the OPS of .400 to leadoff.

Like clockwork...

Might want to start playing Escobar in the hole

These decisions are making no sense of late

I am almost positive that was the same exact ball that Saladino made that amazing play on last week with Escobar

Well this is going great. Team looks dead out of the gates.

Two straight hits after a 1,2,3 opener. Why does it feel like each game against the Royals is the same?

Worst shifts ever.. I like playing DP defense and not having Rollins be slow as s*** at SS

Wtf Avi get behind the ball

This inning is looking real good so far... or not.

It's amazing to me how poor of range Rollins has at SS.

OK, so I see the slowness and poor jumps that Rollins seems so well known for...

When was the last time the Sox lead a game? Felt like it's been a while.

Had no chance on either

Well, it COULD be worse.

Definitely don't want to let the runner at 2nd score here with 2 outs.

Indians now down only 3-2 and Bauer settling in.

At least Abreu didn't try to throw the runner out at home (I guess that's positive).

It's all about the offense... we put no pressure of give our team confidence because of our dead brained, easy out at bats.

Been the same weak s*** for 4 years now and it hasn't changed.

Having to listen to the Royals broadcast is torture

Didn't last very long because of our pen recently.

The answer would be the first game of the DH against CLE Monday...and we were tied at one point in the second game.

Rainout game will be made up SEPT 19th.

Royals swing at the first pitch. White Sox don't...Farmer has that right, especially when so many pitches are for strikes and then you get behind in the count and become more defensive. Swinging at pitchers' pitches at that point.

They weren't playing and hitting that way the first 33 7/9th games this year.

But yeah, now they're falling back into bad habits again and the offense (and entire team body language) looks like dead man walking.

Sox seemingly not ready for Duffy's velocity. Swings are not the definition of short and quick. Throwing lots of strikes.
