I'm almost at a loss for how bad Shields has become. This is by far the worst implosion of a ballplayer I've ever seen during my lifetime.

I guess if his arm were to fall out, the White Sox could theoretically collect 60% of that money back in the form of insurance payments.

Who is next starter in Charlotte? Beck? Carroll? Turner? Volstad? Hard to imagine Carson Fulmer or Danish doing much worse than this.
