I am all for framing, but umpires shouldn't miss non borderline pitches.

They had a bad one last night with Avila catching. Was like down the middle and didn't get the caught because he dropped it IIRC

Flowers is a good framer and last season Shark threw one right down the middle for a ball. It was on one of the websites as the worst ball/strike call of the year.

 

But I do value framing. Some think it's bogus, I disagree.

Oh 100%, it's on them too, but Navarro is awful back there, stabs at everything

Frazier actually did something for once!

I went to Fenway many years ago. Carlos Lee was on the White Sox and got stuck on the Green Monstor. But in person, the Green Momster looks like it's about 250 feet from home plate.

Last night was the turning point. Now we have scored 5 runs in the last 5 innings. I expect we will score 7-8 runs tonight

Interesting point by Red Sox announcers. Anderson's homerun cleared the wall and landed on the street below. Unfortunately he may not get the ball on his first HR back.
