  1. I am compiling a bio on Tayron's Sox career. It could take a good while.
  2. If Mazara works out the Socks could have three studs in the OF, one roaming and two stumbling. I believe he will prove his worth.
  3. 88 often refers to piano. Perhaps he is also a Maestro Liberace.
  4. We know one club that has put itself on the right side of a good-faith bargain. Luis will hit six HR and five bunt singles on OD.
  5. I am trending toward this being an educated, well-informed gamble on a 24 yoa guy with good upside. He will not be worse than average against righties and this will not end up a disaster. He also makes plays in the field but I assume his range is a bit low and plodding.
  6. Some people see change as the enemy. Just give me my old tricks and play happy.
  7. He sounds like a real twat brain, mildly entertaining. His trash talk is uber juvenile.
  8. Twinks should be looking at how NYY operates and how can they compete better with the Yanks pitching.
  9. Sox are low on hustle index but excel on bunted balls in play. He left out Kopech Robert and Madrigal. If the Twinks sign Josh D and move Skanko to 1B they would be well served. They signed a pitcher who may not even pitch. I would speculate Josh is just using them for leverage. Even though the Sox have a Fundamentals section the Twins play better baseball. We have all seen that but we have Rikki Rentoria.
  10. Here's to the AL's worst team of the decade and their loyalists. And to Bruce who said the Sox are glad not to have Muchado cuz Manny is all about Manny.
  11. It is possible our system has some relief help but no one obvious right now. I am not certain if Gio2 or Nova could work out of the pen. The hitting should be good but the pitching and defense may hold them back. Their window of contention right now is not quite ready to blossom. With the division faltering it is time to step up and compete. Lopez and Cease are unknown quantities going into ST.
  12. Was checking in on Jake. Did not see any instructional league work due to continuing sore heel. Has missed two years of baseball. I doubt they have any plan at this point. If he misses ST they might as well send him home.
  13. Fans of Soxorg have to accept that their team is not likely to sign the top few blockbuster FA's which also leads to cap issues. After the Red Sox Yanks Dodgers Angels Phils and Cubs they should be able to spend according to their aspirations. They made five incremental signings and a trade which along with a few more moves will allow them to be competitive. I expect them to somewhat follow the Mets model as poor sister in a major market, without the pratfalls, comedy and miscues. That said we need to dispense with a decade of failure as MLB's third worst team.
  14. The Pods had Muchado and Tatis but the Sox had two more wins. So there is that.
  15. I am pretty sure Herrera will be healthier and our division will be weak. 85 should be doable but this will be a sloppy squad. We should be better than Cubs or Bosox for a change.
  16. It might be better to consider if they will improve during the season. Right now the 4ALC is looking down but the Twins might make some moves. The Tribe is not looking viable long term with their payroll moves. The Sox could be a top second half squad due to player development.
  17. Corey Dickerson is taking his talents to South Beach per Katy Perry. Two years $15M Jon Heyman.
  18. They need a couple of young pitchers to step up and a manager. New decade, anything goes.
  19. Staff allowed 141 HR at GRF 97 on the road lol. Wonder if they are checking in on Nova.
  20. Avi might have been just right for the alt RF spot. My Ouija board has about as much inside info as Stonepony.
  21. The cap Z is a wonderful idea and the pride of Rochester NY is in waiting. I claim trademark rights to both nicks.
  22. Unless they are having a spring overstock sale on DH players. We have many contenders. I do not see them trading Zack's service time away.
  23. No need for service time issues if players agree to a generous seven-year deal. I still haven't been told by the experts how bad faith is shown when it is subjective and the team has discretion. Esp for a team that has made numerous seven year offers. Kris Bryant is a little over the top on this issue as well. He is still a North Side *hitman with a glove.
  24. I remember contending teams that did not draw that well (2000). I would let go of the attendance thingy.
