  1. Trivia question for all the hot shots: Who was the last player to reach 40 saves for the White Sox and what year did he do it in? Also by default this person has gotten the most saves in the last eleven years.
  2. Right now it's a B. But yeah, it's a november call. But Tepara was a steal and has been a stud for them. Kimbrel has had his moments. Cesar has been a disappointment after that first week. Still I think he likely was better than Mendick at 2nd.
  3. Win a world series and it's an A+++++++++++
  4. That home run was bullshit and just a good swing. He looks fine. He's getting ahead of hitters. Curve is nasty. Still want him to throw it more.
  5. Am I the only one who is reminded of Shingo when Craig goes into his delivery? Maybe it's arm angle or the way the ball comes out of his hand but it strangely reminds me of watching Shingo even though he actually throws in the high 90s. That knuckle curve is like a frisbee pitch though.
  6. Dude should have 15 wins now. The bullpen blew like four of those games for him.
  7. Move the fucking line. Would rather not use Kimbrel or Hendriks today as it' s Keuchel day monday.
  8. Not watching the game today but following close enough so that I feel comfortable making this post. Gio is our ace and needs to start Game 1. This is also no disrespect to Lynn or Rodon who have been fantastic this year, Cy Young worthy, but Gio has been our stopper this year and the dude who, when we have needed not just a big outing but a deep outing, he has delivered. Think his 8 innings against the Twins after the loss. Or the complete game against the Astros (I believe his last two starts against them have been complete games). Or the start in Tampa. I know we all focus on the disastrous game three but lost in that was how wonderful he was in Game one of that series against Oakland. Dude carried a perfect game into the 7th inning in his first playoff start. He's been their best pitcher in the second half as well.
  9. Ha. I think Hamilton is a lock. He's a good defensive replacement/speed guy that they'll likely need. I think Goodwin won't make it.
  10. I was watching with my friend and said during Leury's at bat that they should have done a suicide squeeze. I realize that they didn't want to risk Hamilton getting hurt but yeah. Was surprised no suicide squeeze was done.
  11. ReyLO needs to develop a third pitch if he wants to actually be a starting pitcher. That being said, he's also likely on some kind of pitch limit still. Good outing today but wanted him to go further. But yeah, these are kind of his limitations.
  12. Can;t imagine the insane numbers Ramirez and some of these other guys would put up if they ban the shift.
  13. Lol. I had therapy at 1pm ET and spent a fair amount of my session talking about my anxiety with the White Sox and how about how watching their recent poor play was making me feel down. I didn't check my phone till the session ended and I was like holy shit the White Sox are winning by a lot. Bottom line: Therapy works. What a breakthrough.
  14. Ah man. I was at the blackout game with my dad. It was the best baseball game I've ever attended. It's also something that every fathers day and every time it's my dad's birthday, I rewatch the game as baseball was something we shared since I was like 8. I was also at the Alexi grand slam game the day before (used my Jewish privileges of it being the high holidays to get me out of classes that day). I was 19 years old and a sophomore in college. I am now 32 and living in NYC. Actor, playwright and an educator. Let's fucking do this!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Some of my fondest recent baseball memories are the summer of 2012 when I moved to London. I remember waking up in a hostel and because of the time difference, was able to catch the end of the a game against KC which we took in extra innings. The joy of the Sox being in first place at the time and me being able to follow them in London and being able to introduce some of my british mates to baseball (it didn't go well, my flatmate told me that Alexi Ramirez was a terrible player because he was only batting in the .270s) was pretty damn awesome. Did the White Sox blow it by the end? Yeah and it was heartbreaking, especially as the team that overtook them in the division went to the World Series. Still I don't consider all the time spent watching games in the summer of 2012 from a foreign country to be a waste of time, even if it did end in heartbreak.
  16. Why won't they get a full 2022 out of Kopech? What they are doing with Kopech is exactly what they did with Chris Sale minus the extra year as a reliever. Look at Sale's 2011 innings pitched. Kopech is going to get pretty close to what Sale did. There is no reason Kopech can't go 180 innings next year
  17. When the White Sox win teh world series, who will you credit? I am asking you personally. Since you can see into the future.
