  1. I remember watching playoff teams, and seeing them get a base hit, and steal, and then hit the runner home. And I would think, my god, this is why the white sox will never win in the playoffs. They can't execute like these teams. (not small ball) But then we get into the playoffs and executed so much, so beautifully. Honest to God thinking about it makes me heavy, sports are so wonderful. We executed a flippin suicide squeeze in the playoffs to seal a victory (well, cap it off.) But my god my anxiety was so high in the playoffs and we went 11-1 ahahaha. I remember skipping all my classes after the angels loss. And I had a german test at nine am after we won the world series, going in very drunk and hadn't slept all night. I assure you, that story is special because I never did stuff like that. (got an A)
  2. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 25, 2009 -> 06:36 AM) You can restore them to default in itunes. Right. The important thing is just make sure you are getting the right jailbreak for your firmware and then don't do any apple updates. The latter won't destroy your phone/touch, but it will f*** up the jail break.
  3. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 24, 2009 -> 04:36 PM) he's dead? edit: and then I double posted. A successful post.
  4. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 24, 2009 -> 04:36 PM) he's dead? s***, i quoted wrong person. NSS, that's my favorite too.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 24, 2009 -> 01:28 PM) This makes a little more sense. If Chapman got $40-60 million while Strasburg "had" to sign for $15 million, b****ing about Boras anymore would be a joke. I still think the economy is going to play a huge role in the offseason. I think most teams will not have cash. In the NBA, I read something where someone with some inside knowledge thinks something major is going to happen by the end of the season, like 1-3 teams disbanding. Of course the NBA has priced many people out of their games. if you can find the link can you pm it to me?
  6. The unnamed sources being PUBLISHED with complete bunk claims about speculation during this health care debate is deeply disheartening. I bet these idiots are just getting excited now "okay, so I need to keep my name off this" OOO IT MUST BE GOOD "I'm going to completely lie to you in hopes that you will publish it, and the lie will be extraordinary and contradictory so you will get a lot of views and unique hits. " Shoot away!
  7. I don't care if it's been said: Stossel's whole career was that stuff. That and his mustache. Strange though once Tom Selleck stopped getting jobs I stopped seeing stossel
  8. I really have to imagine they'll have to change covers.
  9. Eh, either way, I don't see the sox nabbing him. And would the cardinals really spend that cash with Pujols contract looming ahead?
  10. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 23, 2009 -> 03:09 AM) God that woman behind Franken is gorgeous. I want to work in DC. Yeah, a lot of the pretty girls in the j-school with marginal talent ended up working in D.C. in the government, the smart, pretty girls knew that was a bad idea...for a journalist.
  11. i really dislike cider ales. Too sweet for me. Again, bored with the beer here. Chopp every night. Get by on Xingu. but then again the women are beautiful.
  12. QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Oct 22, 2009 -> 07:36 AM) I agree. I also drove both directions on Lake Shore Drive 2 times this past month and I never realized how enjoyable it was to drive on Lake Shore Drive. It seriously feels like you're driving in a real-life video game, such as Crusin' USA and Cruisin' World. Even though I was only going 45mph, I felt like I was racing everyone on the road. The drive south on Lake Shore Drive is very enjoyable and the view is awe-inspiring at night time. The lights from all the skyscrapers is majestic, the towering view of buildings such as the Drake right ahead of you at one point of LSD and the view of the museum straight ahead of you at another point of LSD is just freaking awesome and ejoyable to see while driving on LSD. It seriously feels like you're in a video game, and I think the lay-out of LSD is great just the way it is. I'm actually surprised they don't have special sanctioned drift-racing events on Lake Shore Drive, I'm not even a drift-racing fan, but I think even that would be awesome. about halfway through this post I started to wonder which LSD you were talking about.
  13. It seems funny to me how universities like to hire failed CEOs so often to be their chancellors. This is a bit off-topic. And I hate how schools instead of trying to improve their product, just try to improve their customers.
  14. This is the first I've heard the question posed to UIC if they were world class university.
  15. I have an itouch. I love it. It's durable and clean. I jailbroke it to reform at it more to my liking. I put skype on it and can use it as a phone for the wireless down here. So many apps that are extremely helpful, and extremely entertaining for when I'm waiting around for class to start (scrabble ftw). I love apple, and I don't code, and I don't game, it hits my needs to a tee, and I've never been disappointed with their products. But the iTouch was one of the best purchases I've made for sure.
  16. I see their point, Obama is such a dictator letting all his legislation get sorted out by hundreds of elected officials. TYRANNUS

    You should watch the Wire. But I have nothing constructive to add.

    J-Street

    Clearly this guy has a big mouth about his intent, but there were some cases some years ago, where it just kind of seemed like idiots that were being supplied weapons and the line was blurred. but anyways, J-Street.

    J-Street

    Yes, but one question for lost, Does the FBI ever have to worry about entrapment?

    J-Street

    Made the exact same post on another board, where I can post more obnoxiously without worrying the troops. But don't get derailed by the sarcasm. A new jewish lobbying group opened up to much interest inside blog politics, a jewish lobbying group that is for PEACE in the Arab-Israel conflict as opposed to just getting money from the US and then spying on us and spitting in our faces. And so, a director from AIPAC now tries to discredit the group by saying THEIR ARE ARABS CONTRIBUTING TO THE GROUP!! OMG!!! TERRORISTS?!?! http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/showdown-on-j-street/ Quote: and then continues his bulls*** by bringing up an example of a Lebanese woman who once worked for, f***!, the Arab American Institute! To which Ackerman takes him to task: Quote: http://attackerman.firedoglake.com/2009/10...ca-abou-chedid/ Arab=terrorist. Arabs couldn't possibly benefit from peace in the middle east. AIPAC is saintly. AIPAC will continue to lobby for giving Israel weapons to Israel and turning a blind eye to them sending spies to us. AIPAC is good. J-Street is bad. War is good. War is good. War is good.
  21. Actually looking back, I hate my post because it iimplies each moment of love in a gay person's life is some individual choice as such as committing a sin. And I don't believe that. Essentially, this is like saying people of Indian descent cannot be Christians.
  22. And yet, being gay is not in the ten commandments, many of which are broken every day, and Christians ask forgiveness for from their God, with the hope that with Jesus in their heart he will forgive them. And they will continue to sin, and they will continue to ask for forgiveness. But being gay, said to be wrong by the cultural standards of millenia ago, is intolerable. If I wanted to de-legitimize the bible I would merely quote leviticus all day. And it would be countered this would the Old Testament, and then I can quote silly quotes from then. But the core of Christianity, unchanging, was that those that allow their full faith into their Lord and God, and work to be a good Christian shall be redeemed. But apparently this can only apply to a certain segment of people? What a joke.
  23. Wow, that was the one time I read the comments section and felt proud.
