  1. People would/will hate it, but I'm ready for a reverse standings thread
  2. At least Montgomery's approach might be so good they can't screw it up
  3. Colas is swinging at nearly 50% of pitches outside of the strike zone the approach is a major issue
  4. Everyone fixates on walks for the pitching staff (rightfully so), but lack of walks for the lineup is just as big of an issue and it mostly goes unremarked upon
  5. Holding out hope a new owner will arrive in time to extend him 🙂 even if a trade would still make the most sense long-term
  6. I'm not going to nitpick one of these ~3 hitters on the team who actually has a clue at the plate lol
  7. They may have accidentally backed themselves into the correct decision on Abreu. He's showing definite signs of decline right now. every other decision from the off-season, however..
  8. I can't believe it's the middle of April and I'm more interested in how Burke looks tonight than anything to do with the big league team.
  9. Such is life for orgs that struggle (to be kind) at scouting and player dev like the White Sox.
  10. Pablo Lopez and Mahle being on here is interesting. The Twins might be doing good stuff with their pitchers.
  11. The Sox should have just signed Pablo Lopez as a free agent. Too bad that wouldn't have been possible until 2025. Comparing the contracts of players who signed as free agents vs extensions from players who were several years away from free agency is apples and oranges.
  12. Madrigal truly has some of the worst baseball IQ I've ever seen
  13. Someone's either going on the 60 day IL or being DFA'd. Haseley isn't currently on the 40 man.
  14. Maybe he'll come through at the plate today, but I'm very much looking forward to the Sheets as an outfielder experiment ending
  15. HR #2 of the season for Popeye - bomb to LF
  16. 18 whiffs on 80 pitches for Scholtens is extremely impressive. It's nice to see consecutive dominant starts in Charlotte.
  17. I think there's a good chance he's better than Alberto and Romy, but the Sox don't like to churn through guys so who knows
  18. I have 0 issues with the contract overall, but given how tight JR is with the budget, I'm shocked they paid up for him when similar players such as Conforto and Gallo were available for significantly less $
  19. The Sox almost never churn through the waiver wire unless it's for relievers. I liked Solak a lot as a prospect and still think he has an interesting profile. definitely worth taking a flyer on even if it likely amounts to nothing.
  20. We're still pretending that everyone on the roster will be healthy and productive at the same time?
