Joe Crede is one of the best 3B in the game right now, Figgins is barely a starter and is a slight upgrade over PODS. Santana and Garcia could be deemed a wash. This proposed scenario is problem, in one sense, because we're expecting someone to overpay for one of our starters. Not put us in a position where we're unloading Crede packaged with Garcia. Even for a player of Santana and Figgens calibur. Â Problem I have is if you believe Figgens will be in LF, who's our 3B? If you believe Figgens is our 3B, you can't POSSIBLY maintain Podsednik in LF. Â Hopefully, if this is true, another starter is traded for a package possibly involving a 3B/SP prospects. We need more if we're sending them Freddy and Crede.  Figgins was pretty bad last year, and he shouldn't be considered a big part of this trade. Figgins can't be that much and Santana is still early in his contract years.... Â Maybe spin this into a bigger name? I've merely heard he's capable of playing various positions across the diamond. Â Josh Fields as our starting 3B won't work. We can tolerate one struggling player in Anderson, but expecting both him and Fields to adjust to the majors is unacceptable.
