  1. Past hour
  2. Phillies might consider dealing Castellanos for him, but that would only save us $12M overall in the long-run.
  3. I can’t really envision a scenario this off-season where he gets traded, but if he can be an average hitter or better in the first half I can see a desperate team trading for him.
  4. I think he’s still on Twitter but I haven’t seen any rumors from him recently. I feel like all the foodie insider accounts have died off recently. Bartolo’s Colonoscopy is the last one standing.
  5. Could also do it the other way where another team takes money but we load it up with sweeteners going the other way. Like if Boston loves Sosa, for instance. Or if someone likes Ramos or something else i'm not seeing.
  6. Probably a topic many of you will laugh off or not even click into. But it's possible he could go somewhere if we take back a similarly bloated contract. He's owed money for two more years but the second year is slightly lighter. I wonder also if we would still have some spending room for this coming year, and we could use it on this kind of trade, take back more money than we're giving out, and thus take back some goodies from the other team to make it worthwhile. We've shown we'll take your posthype/blocked prospects. Cardinals and Red Sox have helpful hitters they could be trying to get rid of. Yoshida for one could be someone who is a Mune buddy. Arizona Eduardo Rodriguez is a similar bad contract. To do these i think to be attractive in this kind of thing we financially have to give a little extra, but we are behaving a little differently than years' past so ..who knows. What destinations have (1) a bad contract to give us back, but also (2) -- and this is tougher to find -- actually have a need for anything Beni provides? LH/mostly DH?
  7. There's some value in that to be sure but not as much as what he was being paid millions of dollars to do.
  8. I believe he was formally Al’s Cheesy Beef and got a couple things right he heard secondhand and then tried parlaying that into a fake insider account before outing himself as Orlando on Soxtalk becuase of a pair of Nike’s. But because he so badly wants attention, he created this account to spew out fake rumors. Is FootlongComiskeyDog still doing this con? He blocked me on Twitter for calling him out over fake rumors so can’t tell what he’s up to. I did listen in on one of is Twitter spaces and practically died of laughter at how dumb everything he said was.
  9. Today
  10. That guy has literally never been right about anything.
  11. I probably would have tried to just get an arm and draft pick. Draft pick + one of their arms. Lot of value in the pick. And agree, they won’t get offered more in July than what’s out there now.
  12. Not sure. I only knew what Wittenmyer reported. Any combo of Petty, Aguiar, Williamson with a comp pick would’ve been a great return at this point and better than they’ll do at deadline. Asking for any of Reds young position players is a mistake imo. Not sure if they did.
  13. Looks like Orlando…I mean Bartolo is still making up rumors based off what he reads here. What a fucking loser.
  14. if they paid him the same amount they paid Rojas, I think it's a good deal for what is basically a backup. I bet he could start somewhere though. I liked Moncada despite never living up to the hype. He's a nice guy, he'd always stick around longer than other Sox players to sign autographs for kids at spring training.
  15. We really have devolved into an eristic society.
  16. 125 PAs in half a season sounds about right.
  17. The biggest problem is even if the HeGetzUs crew is right and is some wunderkind, Jerry was still lurking to TLR his GM of the Year. If we have already seen a move happen because Ishbia actually cares about winning more than something that happened 40 years ago, things are already better.

  19. I prefer to look at the actual stats he finished with over the past two seasons.
  20. They can still get the 1 seed if Seattle loses one more game and they win out.
  21. Well they are going to host a playoff game. Pretty amazing. They haven't won a home playoff game since 2010, maybe they can end that this year. I'll be curious now how Johnson plays the final two games, does he start resting guys? Especially guys with bruises and more minor injuries getting them ready probably to play the Packers again.
  22. Most of the time he's injured which negates that point.
  23. Okamoto does have experience playing OF as well. I’m not sure what the quality of his defense is there, but that is probably the best spot for him on this team. I don’t think they will sign him anyway though, I’m guessing he will be a a Pirate.
  24. His xwOBA was .322 last year which is slightly above league average. Not sure how anyone would call that BAD for a CF.
  25. But why? If all goes well, we’re drafting Roch at the 1.01 next year and that will push Colson to 3B. Okamoto is a luxury we don’t need at the moment.
