BA 2026 Top Ten White Sox Prospects
FriendlyNorthsider replied to DirtySox's topic in FutureSox Board
It’s definitely an aggressive ranking. If you believe that the defense is elite (which usually translates through the levels), he has a high floor as a plus defensive SS. He threw 97 mph as a pitcher which should translate to a plus plus arm in the field. His hitting is pure projection at this point. If he develops to around average bat you’re looking at a 3-4 war player. I’m going to follow him closely this year because he has top 40 potential with a solid showing this year. -
Old friend alert… “Tigers signed OF Corey Julks to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.”
-
It’s not his fault. He’s literally full of s%*# and needs a colonoscopy. Maybe it’s his own inside joke that he actually knows nothing.
-
He struggled bizarrely on the most routine of plays. But otherwise I thought he showed excellent range and really good instincts so im bullish on him there.

OD 26 Man Roster Projection
FriendlyNorthsider replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would give Baldwin every opportunity to improve it before giving Kelenic another chance. Hes had 1500 big league appearances and still looks lost. He had Luisangel Acuna exit velo at this point with Javy Baez K rates. Since he was drafted Baldwin has been used in a super utility role. Ultimately that’s what makes him a really nice piece on the team, but he has never really had the opportunity to go into spring knowing where exactly he’s going to play. He has 2nd percentile range with 83rd percentile sprint speed. That’s someone that could really benefit from playing right everyday. His range should jump to at least average once he improves his lines and jumps on balls to right. -
God I would love to be a brewer fan and have the problem of making it to playoffs every year.
-
He apparently deleted this one. Quality work as usual by our favorite colon.
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if he was right because that is my guess at the aisle where Getz is shopping. However, I don’t see Melendez being any sort of improvement over what the Sox have at outfielder so that one doesn’t make much sense.
-
Ego/pride. As long as he's healthy, he doesn't want to give up being the guy in charge. It's probably why Ishbia doesn't get controlling option to buy the team until Jerry's 98 years old.
-
Nah, just sell to Ishbia now and let him build a new stadium at the 78. There's a ton of potential for this franchise that's being wasted under Jerry Reinsdorf.

Getz doing the roster filling for Jerry. - Today
-
Forgot about him, he would be intriguing.
-
Do you disagree?
-
Seranthony Dominguez. Spend whatever of that $20M you have to spend to get him. Very difficult sell to get him here but he can be with a contender mid-season
-
I’d still like a leverage reliever as well, though the market is very picked over.
-
Then there's this guy...
-
Yeah, Bader's '25 could certainly be his dead cat bounce. The guy sure went through the wilderness in the '20s with OPS+ numbers that are lower than my age. Hays isn't a bad place holder and can replace Robert's offensive production just like that. Neither would make me angry on a one year deal. Either would be gone on August 1. They're still rebuilding. They were never going to sign Tucker or Bellinger. Now it's just wait for Braden Montgomery - McLain and Saucke were supposed to be quick movers.
-
Ah there you go. Must have been seeing the wrong thing last night.
-
QO was for $22M and he wasn’t eligible to receive one since he was traded
-
Option, not QO. Big difference as signing him wouldn’t cost the Sox a draft pick.
-
I’d be happy with Bader 2/$20M and Giolito 2/$30M to round out the offseason. Addresses two big holes and doesn’t block anyone in the near term. Both could also be future trade pieces if they perform well.
-
Didn't Bader turn down a $10 million QO? He may regret that.
-
Still some good starters available but the outfielders are less than thrilling. Do Bader and Hays do anything for you, or any other OF? Bader is a bit older and it feels like he will be overpaid due to last season. Hays seems to get injured a lot.

It's going to be dumpster diving signings -
How much faith do you have in Baldwin's defense?
