  1. Past hour

  2. It's been the same institutional mess for 50+ years. After decades of watching front offices, coaches, and players come and go some fans don't believe things change with a new set of names.
  3. His K rate for his entire time in the minors was right around 25%. He never K'd as much as Bonemer has in his time in the minors.
  4. Most prospects have some glaring flaw that can be compared to another failed player (Colson isn't a failed player....yet). Easy to say "well this guy does the same bad thing as this other guy". But, it's hard not to be excited about Bonemer. I'm curious what the underlying reason for his K rate can be attributed to. Some guys just swing for the fences and sacrifice contact for power. Some guys (Colson) seem to have no plan of attack. Hoping Bonemer is the former. With Colson, it feels like he only has one swing and he also has no idea how pitchers are attacking him. He's clueless and has no ability to shorten his swing. Terrible combo. Bonemer might just be a fucking homer hound, he knows chicks dig the long ball and he wants more long balls.
  5. Pretty good point, Southsider, that seems to be the way it tends to go.
  6. https://www.mlb.com/news/2026-brewers-offense-what-is-working because it's not taught across the system it works for MIL and CLE because they have mostly line drive and not power hitters...and also have more team speed if you make contact on the ground like Braden, without high EV and combine it with low sprint speed...not so good
  7. Colson had 11 HRs across 96 games in A-AA as a 20 year old (mostly in A and A+). Bonemer had 37 homeruns in 132 games across A+-AA. He's hitting for WAY more power. .154 ISO vs a .300 ISO.
  8. In 2006 I thought the Sox made all the right moves to repeat by trading for Jim Thome & Javier Vazquez.
  9. You could argue they rushed Braden and we saw the results of that.
  10. Guess who had a 23.5% K rate in his time at AA as a 20/21 year old?
  11. Don't be hating. He was only 20 years old in AA. 25% SO rate isn't that bad with his power.
  12. Apparently today is also the 5th anniversary of Jerry bringing back TLR.
  13. What do those players have to do with the current sox front office?
  14. The crazy thing with union support, and a lot of potentially high paying jobs out there in these projects, I am surprised they aren't feeling more heat.
  15. Yeah...agree with this...like it or not...Ishbia is leaving 35th & Shields! He is not going to create an entertainment center in that neighborhood. Alderman Lee ought to be out there promoting a vision of what she sees/hopes for this neighborhood. All she is doing now is yelling "no" which is not leadership (and might not work anyway)!
  16. I used to think this, but seeing what the similar teams who did spend and build franchise value are worth these days, it is very clear to me that Jerry literally left billions on the table with his cheap ways in the overall franchise value. This could easily be a 4 to 5 billion franchise if he had invested hard into it. He didn't, and it is worth about half of that.
  17. Not saying he won't be a great hitter, but he has all of the hallmarks of a dude that sees the extremes at the major league level with his boom and bust homer and K rates. We love him now, but I am sure he will be hated for periods of time soon enough.
  18. In 7 AFL games Bonemer has 3 doubles, 1 triple and 1 homerun.
  19. Carson Fulmer, Gordon Beckham, Oscar Colas. . . Just a couple more that come to mind.
  20. Today

  21. Why doesn't every player on the team have a 2-strike approach instead of swing from their heels?
  22. Just thinking about some of the base clogging Sox teams in the past that would take 3 hits to get a runner home from 1st base.
