  2. At first I thought he was playing the sovereign citizen card. I love those folks. Always entertaining
  3. College baseball players will be on less of a leverage spot for NIL deals.
  4. The Golden Rule will be followed. The one with the most gold wins. The millionaires with realize the billionaires can wait them out.
  5. I start following Major League Lacrosse?
  6. Lets say JR is right that there won't be any baseball in 2027. Then what happens after that?
  7. Good question. Looking like it will mark eight straight years without a playoff appearance in a league where basically half the teams get in. That's pretty bad.
  8. There's a real good chance the Bulls will start the season 1-12 or 2-11. They fit right in with the Blackhawks. Both atrocious.
  9. I'll be real curious to see if the league addresses the confusion where Reid was apparently told it was 4th down and two yards (even the CBS graphic showed that) when it reality it was closer to 4th down and a half a yard. The broadcasters talked about it and how Reid was pissed. K.C. punted, Denver got the ball back and the rest is history, instead of the Chiefs potentially going for it, getting the first down and running more time off the clock.
  10. One factoid today: November 2, 1993 - Sox pitcher “Black” Jack McDowell easily captured the American League Cy Young Award. He beat out Randy Johnson. McDowell went 22-10 with a 3.37 ERA. He led the league in wins and shutouts. He was second in innings pitched and third in complete games. Jack got 124 points to Johnson’s 75. From 1990 through 1994 Jack won more games than any pitcher in the American League, 83 to be exact.
  11. More Mile High 4th quarter magic for the Broncos to beat the Chiefs! Woo hoo!

You're late to the party, Houston hired someone else a few days ago Randy Flores from the Cardinals.
  13. A few weeks ago I posted comments from a long time source with connections to the organization for decades. That person had lunch with JR and they told me that JR told them baseball would not be played in 2027. Take it for what it may be worth to you.
  14. According to a story in the Phoenix newspaper from back in the day Schilling said JR said something to him so personal and insulting that he vowed under no circumstances would he play for any team he owned. In 2000 he was one of the names being rumored that the Sox were interested in, Mike Mussina was the other, but neither of those came to pass.
  15. I still can see Curt Schilling going off on Reinsdorf in an interview, it got real nasty.
  16. Brother already has gone on record. No need for Justin to add anything further.

  18. I only hope Justin Ishbia doesn't take a public stand one way or the other, it is a lose lose situation if he gets quoted.
  19. LOL , I think I will stop while I am behind.
  20. "The Padres announced that Miguel Andujar and right-handers Lucas Giolito and Griffin Canning are all now free agents. San Diego declined its end of mutual options with Giolito and Canning, while Andujar declined his end of a mutual option. Andujar will receive a $2.9MM buyout from his declined $8MM mutual option, Giolito’s $8MM mutual option came with a $1.5MM buyout, and Canning’s $5MM mutual option has a $1.8MM buyout." mlbtraderumors.com
  21. JR leaped at the opportunity to be the lead man.
  22. The MLB Postseason was among the most-watched in recent years, but a shorter and lesser-watched World Series knocked viewership further off of last year’s pace. The 2026 MLB Postseason averaged 5.49 million viewers across Fox Sports, TNT Sports and NBCUniversal, down 13% from last year (6.33M), but otherwise officially the most-watched postseason since 2019. Viewership had been down single-digits entering the World Series, but with this year’s Fall Classic featuring fewer games and fewer viewers than a year ago, the average fell further off of last year’s pace. Last year’s playoffs culminated with a Game 7 of the World Series that officially ranks as the most-watched Major League Baseball game since 2017, the last of a record seven winner-take-all games. This year’s playoffs ended with a “Gentleman’s sweep” and included only two winner-take-all games. sportsmediawatch.com
  23. Legendary career that I never watched. My memory of him is going to prison for tax evasion, citing "research" that only federal government employees were required to pay taxes. Rest in peace!
  24. Hawthorne studies and Pavlov references gave you away.

  26. If I could take duped out of my post I would. Let me put it this way, JR was a useful idiot for the owners for putting his face and name out there as the bad guy. JR was the bad guy but all the other owners got a pass and JR to this day wears it. I am not defending him at all, just pointing out the PR move was a disaster.
