  1. Past hour

  2. Yep just trying to survive games inning by inning...even last night with six and seven run leads, the game was never once comfortably in control where you could actually relax. Got so mad when Hicks was pitching that I went outside for a walk and followed on phone instead. Or when Hagen loaded the bases his second inning of work and had to be rescued by Taylor.
  3. This is the dream scenario. That infield defense would be absolutely filthy. Probably the best in the league. Gold glovers at 3 of those positions.
  4. I loved Tim Curry in everything, including Congo. Especially Congo.
  5. Correct, when you have to use openers/bullpen games seemingly every four mor five days you don't have enough pitching.
  6. But if you're also pointing out the Sox were quite fortunate last night early...it goes against the very gods of Mount Getzius. That was all diligence and talent. Or maybe Kwan and Ramirez are simply playing much better and finally healthy?
  7. You really think his glove wouldn't play at 2nd? I think he'd be fine there. I think he has a higher offensive upside that Chase. I agree with you though. One of those 3 should probably be traded for pitching. It's very possible Chase and Sam's value will be at all-time highs after this season. It's also possible the Sox don't believe in Colson's bat or health longterm. I have no idea which of those 3 will be legit players long-term. I'd choose trading Colson to be honest. He should have the most value and I'm not sure about his bat/health longterm. We also have Roch coming up in the near future. Trading Peters while his value is high is an interesting thought. Seems like a shrewd move a team like the Rays would make. Really ballsy move.
  8. Who was there to actually hate over the last three years? They should have been 3.5 back facing a 5-0 deficit in the face yesterday and less than 24 hours later on the verge of 1.5. That's baseball for you. White Sox have been around 4-7 games over .500 for months now. Just don't have enough pitching to get on any kind of streak.
  9. "Luck is the residue of design..." - Branch Rickey Cleveland has consistently made the playoffs over the last 10 years and they consistently seem to be able to get red hot towards the end of the season. At some point calling them "lucky" doesn't hold water. Thought for sure the Angels could give the Sox a break, but nope.
  10. Sox were 6 games up on Cleveland on August 17th. Now it's just a 2 game lead.
  11. Welp, guess we just gotta take care of business tonight then.
  12. God I hate them lol They will never lose again
  13. Strike on pitch three was clearly inside...sigh. Now it's a real pennant race. But at least the WC odds are 50/50 from this position, too. See 2020.
  14. Guardians smart enough to hold challenges until late. Sox lost the game Hicks had the final strikeout but couldn't do anything about it when the wrong call was made.
  15. The Sox getting lucky once doesn't offset the Guardians constantly hitting bloopers in big situations.
  16. How is the top of CLE lineup always up at critical times and LAA has their bottom of the order now lol?
  17. Extend Mune & Vargas. Keep everyone else. Buy pitching in FA. Cook. 1B: M. Vargas 2B: C. Meidroth SS: R. Cholowsky 3B: C. Montgomery* LF: C. Bonemer, LF CF: T. Peters* RF: B. Montgomery# DH: M. Murakami* CA: K. Teel* Bench: UT: S. Antonacci* (LF / 2B / 3B) OF: B. Doyle (CF / PR) OF: RH Vet FA (RF / DH / PH) BC: E. Quero# or RH Vet FA
  18. The White Sox were "lucky" scoring six against deGrom with four sub 80 ev balls put into play just as the Guardians are lucky right now during this winning streak. You make your own breaks, right?
  19. Gavin Williams didn't finish the 2nd yesterday and Cantillo walked 7 today. They lose this series to almost any other team.
  20. I'm very impressed with that Watson guy...he can go back to back games and be consistently awful both days
  21. They also have the advantage of a much better starting rotation that can go on a roll...versus a patched up with duct tape and baling wire game to game mess. And the Royals have been playing well...unfortunately CLE is much tougher at home traditionally when they face KC next.
  22. It is about when you play a team. They just got three teams who are all out of the race, we faced Angels, A's, and Giants early in the season. We do get the Rockies but everyone else we play is competing for a playoff spot or were playing well when we played them
  23. Finally got smart enough to work around Ramirez...one run too late lol.
  24. Angels gotta be throwing these games with the pitch selection to Kwan and Bazana.
