  1. Past hour

  2. I seriously think they’re onto plan E and are considering calling up Urquidy to take a start for Davis soon if this continues. Keep an eye on how he throws today for Charlotte - have to think they have them lined up for a reason. Nuts.
  3. no. But there is another thunderstorm that is supposed to start in 60 minutes.
  4. Raleigh also tried playing through an oblique strain that was nasty for like a month plus.
  5. When it's virtually a 1/3 of a season its more than a slump. Also, his full season RISP BA is .190 and his BA after the 5th inning is .150. This is certainly not worth of a middle of the order hitter, just so little clutch. Even AJ & Wainwright were somewhat critical of him yesterday.
  6. Having Shane Smith, Hagen Smith, Schultz and McDougal not being capable of starting at this point in the season is a huge issue
  7. I don't think anyone thought fedde would be any better than that. Castillo is irrelevant to bannister and the sox since he just got here. That surprises me about Kay. Honestly he gives us a chance to win every game and with a 9-5 record, a sub 4 ERA and getting better as the season goes on he has exceeded my expectations. I don't know what you expected but he hasn't had an ERA under 5.14 in 6 MLB seasons prior. What they are and what they are compared to expectations are 2 different things. We spent nothing on SPs so I feel we game exceeded expectations. Outside of Schultz of course. But we have to sign some guys next year. You can't have this rotation next year
  8. Good point. That's a good example of what may happen to Colson.
  9. Only slightly facetious. I think we're seeing what Colson is with his current stats. Streaky hitter who can hit homeruns in bunches, with long cold streaks where he strikes out a s%*# ton. In addition, back issues. And his defense hasn't been all that impressive in recent months. If there are other teams that would be willing to pray a premium for him, then absolutely. We've got Roch waiting to take over at SS.
  10. If that were true, 25 homeruns wouldn't be tied for top 10 in baseball right now.
  11. even a blind squirrel....so many just plain bad pitches. Just 5 hr's in his last 170 AB's. Pitchers have figured his weaknesses. Now that he's a sucker for the "down & in" and misses by over a foot virtually every time, I would be surprised if that rate gets any better until he solves his "eye". He needs a lot of work.
  12. I really try and put an emphasis on not using pejoratives in my middle age on this forum but this is one of the dumbest fucking things I've read on here in my 20 years. You're telling a guy that set the WS quickest to 40 HR record that his level is high A ball? He put up 5 fucking WAR in 150 games. He's in a slump, it happens. Look at fucking Cal Raleigh.
  13. PCA couldnt make contact with a tennis racket the last half of last year and for a decent part of the beginning of this year. It's crazy to make statements about a guy a year into his big league career as if there's no room for improvement.
  14. then there's these things called injuries that are making this sport not so predictable. Remember we thought they were strong at catcher?
  15. Over the entire season, Kay Fedde Castillo all rank among the bottom 15 in fWAR out 91 pitchers with over 100 IP. Burke has been very good. Davis is collapsing...or close to it. Taylor the third highest value.
  16. Sadly, in most cases, that's probably the right move. At least there's a chance to get something out of them. I'm hoping that Taylor and Vasil start next year. Vasil for sure;
  17. ah the trade frenzy hoping that a GM wouldn't even notice what fans see He's not rookie of the year and still only a year in baseball It's not like he was batting .400 in the minors
  18. I don't think you hit 25 homers in the MLB and have your ceiling be a few levels down.
  19. Youth. Halpin had a misplay against the Sox nearly every time they ran him out there. Same with Antonacci during stretches this year, physical/mental errors or throwing to wrong bases, missing cut off men, etc.
  20. I'm so done with this guy. He's completely clueless and chases everything. It's been nearly 2 months of this junk. He's never hit above .245 higher than A+. He hit .214 & .218 in Charlotte in '24 & '25 respectively. He needs to go back to Win-Sal and try again. Some guys just hit their ceiling at a certain level and right now, Colson's seems to be a few levels down.
