  1. Past hour
  2. Really? Interesting considering he has no social media activity. I would think he would have that in place already if he wanted to be an influencer of any sort.
  3. He clearly wants to be a conservative influencer as much as he wants to play baseball.
  4. I guess I’m a rube. What specifically did he receive to attend? What business interests of his were impacted?
  5. If you think Matt Shaw attended that funeral for anything other than outside of baseball business interests you are a rube.
  6. His team and teammates essentially said it was okay because he was considerate enough to check with them since he would be missing a game. However, I suspect if someone told you not to attend a funeral for a friend that you were invited to by the deceased's wife because you didn’t know each other long enough, you would rightly tell that person to F off. 🤣
  7. George Kittle might've just blown his achilles.
  8. I mean, if you are saying it is ok, you are quite literally judging.
  9. Its the fact that Pritzker told them that they aren't a priority on 2026. Which means they are putting the Bears off to squeeze their timeline to have a stadium ready for when the lease expires.
  10. So? Is that for any of us to judge? It’s not like he just attended without permission from his team and the wife of his dead friend actually invited him. Imagine someone telling you that you shouldn’t attend a friend’s funeral. I mean what is going on here?
  11. I’m sure most players miss funerals of friends they’ve even known longer for their team.
  12. I would assume weather related Rams have seemed very beatable recently but stafford would just throw 600 yards against us. Every team is tough, have hard time believing Eagles would let us run all over them again.
  13. One of their defensive starters is a guy I know from my hometown. Great kid.
  14. Anything specific you like about that matchup? The rams offense vs the bears defense feels like a nightmare scenario to me.
  15. I mean, we literally live and learn. It takes once of burning yourself on a stove to think "maybe I shouldn't do that again" and not "well I am sure others have burned themselves, so why stop now?"
  16. Today
  17. Apparently WestEddy gets to dictate how long a friendship must last for someone to attend a friend’s funeral. The guy got permission from his team to attend and also made sure his teammates would be okay with him missing the game to attend. But since it wasn’t his mother’s funeral, he shouldn’t even think about attending? Okay… Link:
  18. And it's not like it was his mother's funeral. It was a memorial for a neighbor he only knew about a year. And really, normal, busy people split up, where the wife hits the wake and the husband hits the funeral, and everybody's checking email and texts at the after-luncheon. Shaw was there to "support" a national celebrity he was a neighbor with for a year at a stadium. His absence probably wouldn't have been noticed, you know, with the President and others attending. Normal people would have sent a card, then called, if they were that close. It was a serious character issue with the choice Shaw made.
  19. So if the Eagles win, they play the Bears. If the 49ers win, the Bears play the Rams. I like the Bears chances more against the Eagles but f*** Philly and their fans. So I guess bring on the Rams.
  20. Welp, it's over. None of us should ever have morals or standards again. This is absolutely a copout.
  21. @TheBooneLoganEra already said it best in his previous post. Good luck.
  22. Once again, that isn’t the argument. My point was that it’s perfectly normal to take a stance on things that don’t directly affect you. I don’t know why you keep making it about something else.
