  1. I suppose Seranthony needs to create an account and post an apology thread of his own.
  2. Tristan Peters apology thread incoming.
  3. Valentin hitting a bomb, then mocking the Sammy Sosa finger/heart kiss and point to the sky is a favorite memory. Most Sox got up for this series.
  4. And he's already been paid around $5M of that $17M owed this season. His remaining salary shrinks by the day.
  5. Like, if somebody sees an Indiana plate on the Dan Ryan, throw at PCA.
  6. He's not really stretched out, but looking at the system, Riley Gowens seems to be the only guy in the upper levels who is throwing strikes and has eaten innings recently.
  7. Did Venable think he could grab a quick out here? I guess you run Fedde out there with 87-88 pitches to face the #9 hitter, but good luck, reliever.
  8. The next opt-out deadline for veterans with minor league deals is June 1. That could be our last chance to roster 2026's Adrian Houser.
  9. Jeez, baseball-reference.com has Davis Martin as a 3.1 bWAR pitcher today.
  10. No, I think the White Sox should send that film clip to the Mayo Clinic as an example of what a fully healthy and healed baseball player looks like when running the bases. Maybe put that video on the next Voyager space ship so aliens know what healthy hamstrings look like when a human being runs.
  11. That looks like a very healthy jog. Teel's hamstring was probably so well healed and muscular that it put undue stress on his underworked knee muscle.
  12. We all realized that on opening day.
  13. Our glum chums don't even need to log in today if you're just going to do their job for them. Rehab goes slowly and sometimes gets stalled.
  14. Who's injured? The Sox certainly showed yesterday that 3 runs early doesn't put a game away. Good on the Cubs, forcing the issue.
  15. Hey, if Fedde's going to pay a "first time through the order", he might as well get it all over with in the first inning and start fresh.
  16. Okay, there's your two runs, Rea. Good luck.
  17. SoxMachine's pregame notes: Pregame notes: Measuring stick - Sox Machine SouthSideSox preview Game Thread: Cubs (29-17) at White Sox (23-22) | South Side Sox
  18. Beyond Gonzo and Bergolla, nobody's really challenging on the infield at least until after next year's TDL. An injury could put Gonzo firmly in the OD picture next season; Roch most likely won't be challenging the issue immediately. Maybe spring training 2028, you'll finally have Caleb Bonemer, Colby Shelton and Roch pressing for spots. Good problem to have.
  19. Everybody knew those guys would be injured.
  20. That's when you know Prelander Berroa is really back!
  21. Happy birthday, Carlos May!!
  22. MLB Pipeline had Perez as the A's #20 prospect. Before Perez, Dru Baker and Ryan Galanie were the only non-catching RHHs. They seem to have gotten carried away with signing all the lefties.
