  1. It's Sox related. Old Friend Alert, and all.
  2. What's the matter with Peters? He's a legit CF and actually got a hit yesterday against a pretty good pitcher.
  3. They're probably hard to run accurate projections because a lot of key players are so young. They sure look like a good team who takes advantage and executes well.
  4. Liptak is trolling everybody who doesn't share his views. He rejoices over Vasil's TJS, and chalks it up to incompetence. Everybody's angry, yet the angry people who are generally positive get told to shut up when lashing back at the trolls. "Being angry" isn't a reason to be lashing out at Sox fans. As DoUEven points out, it's tiresome. Say the team sucks, Fire Getz, Venable, every single player's a bum, how dare they platoon or rest a guy a game, but Jesus Christ, trolling us is stupid. And seriously, if Liptak's been watching Jerry's s%*# show longer than anybody and hating every minute of it, then he's the dumbest masochist of all. Instead of mocking Sox fans, he should just be saying, "thank you, master, may I have another?".
  5. Burke looked okay his last two innings. Benintendi didn't do him any favors. Bad send of Monty, but Jirsch was probably just trying to get momentum going. It's the Brewers. They won the most games in the league, last year. Would like to see Acuña and Preira get going.
  6. These trades keep evolving. Cease brought back Thorpe, Iriarte, Sam Zavala, now Tanner Murray and Everson Pereira. Adrian Houser for Boston Smith, Ben Peoples and Duncan Davitt.
  7. Oh, and Jake Eder was DFAed by Washington to make room.
  8. Boston Smith's from Dayton. If you want a catcher actually from Boston, that would Tallahassee Smith, who plays for St. Louis
  9. With Korey Lee clearing waivers so quickly, I'm guessing Curtis Mead is getting claims.
  10. Did some entity just upgrade their database to be able to search for "first of all time"?
  11. The "screw the old guys, play the kids" and "why is this young nobody starting" guys all seem to be the same people.
  12. It seems like he's got strikeout stuff, just that his walk game is pretty dominant. I'm guessing they know he should just start his windup two inches over on the rubber, and he'll be golden.
  13. That Luis Robert money keeps on giving. Hudson was waived when Hays was signed.
  14. Well, the Brewers finally won their World Series. Softens the blow of being the Dodgers' chew toy.
  15. JFC, finally, a 1-2-3 inning. I can die happy, now.
  16. It would be cool for Kay to be bringing 95, then bring back some dudes in July if they're struggling to just drown close to shore. People are saying this rotation is worse than last year's - it's the same guys! Can't Kay and Fedde be better than Cannon and Bryce Wilson? (Martin Perez only threw about 5 starts.) While Shane Smith could be looking at an adjustment year, I think Davis Martin is primed to settle in and become the guy he's going to be this season.
  17. If Fedde is noticeably cooked 3-4 starts in, I guess Cannon is first man up? Newcomb? Davitt's on the 40-man. Sandlin's still got that weak back, and I'd think they'd want McDougal to do a few cycles in AAA before he's throwing up here.
  18. Unless the strip mall was an H&R block, Nails Emporium, Tire store and Tigers Den Strip Club.
  19. That's the thing that hits me. Smith could wind up quite unremarkable.
  20. Jeez, it was at a strip mall, for heaven's sake. How's a guy supposed to resist that?
  21. At 38, I'd get light-headed standing up too fast.
  22. Beefloaf has his own thoughts on the lineup: 1 - Grindy ballplayer that told @HotDogLarry1 to pound sand on his #108Tourney endorsement request. Damn sure ain't worried about Sam, whateverthefuckhisnameis taking his position. 2 - Could realistically log significant minutes off the @chicagobulls bench down the stretch, but it would decrease their chances of moving up in the lottery 3 - The "Daddy" of this offense 4 - You wanted him gone, but now you realize you are going to need this man to hit, hit and HIT some mo' if you want to cash your RSW bet on the over for this team. 5 - Thank Christ they are playing him in Left Field 6 - Current and Future Legend. Can you pronounce his name properly? 7 - The most intriguing player on the 26 man roster, if he becomes a "Thing" or a "Dude" or even a "Masher", this is found money for a rebuild that needs a couple tree of them. 8 - Untradeable (for now) 9 - @RyanMcGuffey favorite player, but only by proxy because of who he was traded for.... BeefLoaf🥩 on X: "Your #WhiteSox Opening Day Lineup de-coded 1 - Grindy ballplayer that told @HotDogLarry1 to pound sand on his #108Tourney endorsement request. Damn sure ain't worried about Sam, whateverthefuckhisnameis taking his position. 2 - Could realistically log significant minutes off" / X
