Hey, if Civale wants to request another trade, there's always Colorado. -

I would like to see Palacios cut right now, but the guy does have an 8.5% BB rate, and his .300 OBP is better than Sosa and Robert.

His MiLB page says he's been assigned to the ACL on a rehab assignment May 1, but for some reason, MiLB isn't showing ACL stats. B-R.com has ACL stats, but nothing for McClain.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
WestEddy replied to GreatScott82's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Missouri and Kansas are going back and forth. The teams are in MO, but KS is vying to get them to move to their side. I think MO is offering 50%, and KS passed 70%. -

And that's a 4-2 WHITE SOX OVER TRASHCANS WINNER
WestEddy replied to chitownsportsfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
That's how it should work. Rojas could start for a week in a pinch. Capra isn't really an option for starting beyond a getaway day game. -
The White Sox were 7-23 (.230) on the morning of May 1st. I believe that since then, they have swapped out better rookies and injured vets for guys like Jankowski, Vaughn and Amaya. Since 5/1, the Sox have played 16-21 (.420) baseball. If we assume that while swapping out better prospects for slumping regulars (Sosa/Monty for Capra, Fletcher for Palacios), they continue at a .420 pace, that would be a record of 17-25 in the remaining games before the TDL, or a 40-69 record on the morning of 8/1. I'm going to say the Sox decimate their bullpen, and maybe trade Houser and Davis, so that maybe they'll limp along for the rest of the season at the .230 pace they played through 4/30. That would be a 12-41 record the rest of the way, finishing 52-110. However, if their lineup and bullpen is fundamentally improved by prospects and play at a slightly better 19-32 (.333) pace, that leaves them at 59-101 on the season. This would probably mean their rotation is some grouping of Burke, Cannon, Vasil, Scholtens, Clevenger, Owen White, Evan McKendrie, and Tyler Schweitzer. Maybe Riley Gowens or even Jake Palisch get a shot at starts in the last 2 months.

I've seen it as the Sox being in a group of 5 teams that are going to fight it out for the three best odds-slots in the 2026 draft. Balt, A's, Pitts, Mia and us. The Rockies are in their own group this year. The Sox are 16-21 since May 1. The A's are 10-28. This is a fundamentally different team from opening day. -

These are the current memes: 1) The presentation of any previous reporting of organizational hires that didn't result in multiple championships is evidence that any current hires will result in 20 more years of losing. 2) The fact that TLR and JR are still alive means that any positive developments will always be reversed and defunded. 3) Any front office personnel hired in the last 40 years who remain employed with the Sox is definitive evidence that any negative argument is factually true. 4) Every injury in the Sox organization is indicative of a failed approach over 50 years to sports medicine. 5) Anecdotal evidence of failure is unimpeachable. Data showing progression are surely all lies delivered by the lapdog media to maintain access.

Dec/2018 - the Astros signed Michael Brantley for about 3/48 Feb/2019 - Machado signed with the Padres Mar/2019 - Harper signed with the Phillies The Sox fucked around all that time pretending to go after Machado and Harper. They traded for Yonder Alonso, signed Jon Jay, and had an OF of Eloy, Engel and filled RF with Ryan Cordell and Leury. They really didn't have a steady DH. Off-seasons like that seemed to have no focus, whatsoever.
