  1. Hard to know, because we would be looking at it from a different perspective. I'm guessing I would not think we would sign one of them.
  2. Was this a tweet? I didn't see it when I scanned his feed.
  3. Yep. Seems like the plan might be for him to just move up with those AA guys all the way to the big leagues.
  4. Depends on a few factors: 1. Are there other guys knocking on the door? (Adams, Stephens...maybe Cease) 2. Are we in contention at all? 3. How bad is he? Is he showing signs of improvement at all?
  5. Da Bears!!! But to answer your question, I'm taking the Sox.
  6. And he wants to live and be a part of the city of Chicago.
  7. Agreed. If it were up to Soxtalk, Eloy would already be getting reps at 1B in the winter league right now.
  8. If you post your phone number, I can give you a call. Actually, just post your credit card number and SS# and I'll get you signed up for a premium account.
  9. This thread is so entertaining that I haven't clicked on any other threads in a while. Have we traded Abreu to the Dodgers yet? Has Eloy hit any more grand slams in winter ball?
  10. Well why didn't you just say that to begin with? Now we believe you. I talked to someone once, and he's pretty trustworthy.
  11. Is 4 years the max you would give Eovaldi if you're the White Sox? Also, do you think the Yankees or Phillies would give him 5 years now that they missed out on Corbin?
  12. Let him start the year at 2B, where he is comfortable now. Hopefully he can get his offensive game going. Then sprinkle in some games at 3B throughout the year, and officially move him later if you have to.
  13. I’m fairly sure nobody would have given us more. If Hahn doesn’t take that deal, we are sitting here today in a worse position.
  14. The statements in bold seem to be a contradiction.
  15. He could be blocking Hamilton, Burr, Burdi, or in a couple years, Johnson. ?
  16. Who are these people that are convinced we will land one of them? The most confident I’ve seen somebody is the guy who just said he is “fairly confident”, and that guy is in the minority. I think most optimistic people feel there’s about a 30/40% chance we sign one of them.
  17. Thanks to you both. Assuming he is legit, does 2022 seem realistic for when he might contribute to the big league club? I do realize he is only 19, and a lot can happen (good or bad) over the next few years.
  18. Where does Bryce Bush start the year, and what does his timeline look like if all goes realistically well?
  19. I’m confused by that question. How could anybody take Option B? I understand wanting to decrease strikeouts, because putting the ball in play MIGHT lead to more productive at-bats, but in this hypothetical scenario, we know that putting the ball in play was not more effective. Give me the .800 OPS all day.
  20. What does Burger’s injury timeline look like right now?
  21. Right, which is why we can all post different opinions and viewpoints, father.
  22. The trade really can’t be evaluated for a few years. If Rutherford pans out, it was a solid trade.
  23. Absolutely. I know this is far fetched, but if we woke up tomorrow to the headline, "White Sox sign Harper to record breaking 10 year, $480 million deal", I would be instantly excited. No part of me would be upset that we spent too much.
