No one will take him and pay 29m unless you are attaching Montgomery or Schultz to him. Basically we need Ramos to get ready ASAP but he's not quite there yet.

Riordan: Physical altercation between TA and Grandal before AS break

Maybe that's why TA has been in a fighting mood.

Riordan: Physical altercation between TA and Grandal before AS break
Seems people are starting to leak like crazy now in an attempt to get something to change. They owe Moncada 29m no one will touch that so he isn't going anywhere, you can't really move Jimenez now that Burger is gone and Grandal will be out at the end of the season. Jimenez isn't a bad guy at all, he's a good kid but made of glass and for whatever reason is unable to do what it takes to get loft in his swing. He's throwing away alot of 30+ HR seasons. He needs to buckle down with the hitting coaches day and night to work on his launch angle. I dont see JR eating Pedro's remaining two years and if Hahn is out, KW is in charge so it's two sides of the same coin and its still the same penny wise pound foolish general philosophy because thats how JR wants it and people will be happy to execute it so long as checks are coming in. Yeah, all the dirty laundry being aired is going to be uncomfortable but there really isn't any way to meaningfully change anything at this time.

8/5 Games
I know they are building him up, but he isn't being challenged at all in Low A. You can keep him on a pitch count fine but at least get those innings in High A.

That's the Left Handed Savage I was waiting for! Hopefully he is getting used to MLB pitching now.

Ky Bush NOT Promoted to MLB (Edit)
Actually it really does end there. Bush is basically right IMO.

Ky Bush NOT Promoted to MLB (Edit)
He still needs to work on stuff in AA and AAA this is dumb. We need people for the rotation, we literally don't have dick there. There's no reason to bring him up.

Ky Bush NOT Promoted to MLB (Edit)
WTF...straight from AA while he's still struggling? Looks like their gonna ruin him like Crochet by putting him in the pen. WTF

When is Eder pitching?

8/4 Games
I think this was the whole plan all along. Get rid of a bunch of high priced relievers, and supplement Bummer/Santos with Patino, Leasure, and then maybe you move Toussiant/Scholtens or whatever into the pen next year and maybe add like one semi cheap vet reliever basically you have your own BP on a shoestring budget. If they are going to go from 180m to 140m or whatever they are going to have to make the math work somehow.

Good to see Wolkow with an encouraging start to his young career.

Kim Ng: "I called up my man Kenny Williams and got it done"
I get the feeling KW might recommend her to take over all operations since he wants to retire and he knows JR won't go for someone he isn't familiar with. But it won't matter if she can't convince JR to spend on R&D infrastructure.

Fire Rick Hahn
Very tough to develop anyone that way. JR doesn't want to pay for another 50-60 employees, I don't know what they earn but assuming they are paid reasonably well, that's prolly somewhere around 10 million (assuming an avg of 200k I dunno if that would be accurate for those positions) roughly, not including retirement, benefits, it could be alot more than 10m in that case. Seriously, just figure out what it would cost to hire a legit analytics and farm development staff taking some from each of the best clubs, cut it from the team payroll if need be and then let the chips fall. At most it's what another 20 million? I think most of us would be ok with a payroll at 150-160 instead of 180 if we reinvested that money on up and coming minor league development staff, coaches, analysts and analytics infrastructure. Hire a couple from LAD, TB, BAL, CLE etc. JR will make the money back and much more....in fact he could probably end up being very competitive with a payroll much less than 150-160 if he made a serious investment in infrastructure so I don't understand his cost/benefit analysis here.

Kim Ng: "I called up my man Kenny Williams and got it done"
He's doing fine and should feel fine. Dude is getting a whole GMs salary for just having a silver tongue and meeting with the press a couple times a month. That's literally all he has to do now. Nice gig if you can get it.

Yep. Looks like @Harold's Leg Lift was right and RH is basically getting his GM salary for being just a glorified WH press secretary at this point.
