Thank you for the game insights. I know some people don't want the Sox changing batting mechanics during the draft year, but I thought the whole idea was they wanted to get a high floor/low ceiling "polished" prospect that could contribute as a 2 WAR player fairly quickly since they want to fill big league spots (either 2B or SS) on the cheap, so it makes sense that they are trying to fix stuff fast to move him from level to level as fast as possible. Ofcourse, the Sox don't exactly have a great history fixing hitters. Collins was supposed to be 55 hit/55 power too but they couldn't fix the hitch in his swing and he turned out to be 20 hit which made any power moot.

Unfortunately the new GM is likely to be the present farm director in this messed up franchise.

Great for Wolkow to get his feet wet in Low A, but as a 17 year old I'd expect him to struggle there for awhile. He will prolly be there all next season. Nastrini and Ramos should be promoted to AAA. Montgomery looks like he's on track to be with the big club early to middle next season and Quero might be by the end of next year.

Getz/Moore is a joke.....but consider that no one credible is going to work for an 87 year old owner who could sell or pass away at any time and then they know new ownership will want their own person. No one is going to sign up for that.

Move Mena up to AAA along with Ramos

Yeah I don't know what he has. I wish the best for him in his personal health situation but as far as professionally he needs to realize he's done. Just enjoy your retirement and focus on your health. I hope he beats whatever condition he may have.

If they hire an internal loser like Getz who failed as Farm Director or a washed up clown like TLR or Haber it will be even worse. Make a real legit external hire that's respected in baseball and invest in R&D and analytics. I'm glad he fired them but he has to eesist the temptation of the insular bullshit.

Nah. So long as JR refuses to make massive investment as in R&D, analytics and farm development, it doesn't matter who is in charge. We've got other teams with literally 4-5 times the employees dedicated to these areas. You can't win with a skeleton crew in critical infrastructure. And JR micromanaging things compounds the problem. A new GM is just rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic.

This will be a problem. TA7 is gonna be in his contract year and he's not exactly going to be welcoming to the young buck coming up to take his job. And no one will take Moncadas salary off our hands either.

At least Gonzalez is getting some hits now. Would like some ISO too. Harris has been impressive to me at the plate, not sure how he's been behind the plate tho. I really liked that Wolkow got 2 walks tonight. If he can lower the Ks and add some walks to his power profile that would be great.

I dont think Wolkow the young savage is going to need 2 years in ACL.
