  1. Nurik is said to be available in a trade. Not sure about the pairing with Vuc, but man would he be a big time add as a strong defender.
  2. At least Caruso is back, so there's that.
  3. At least Brooklyn lost too, so the bulls are still just half a game outta first in the east. Cavs are a moderately interesting team. Kinda going against the grain of the rest of the league with their size. Fully healthy the bulls are definitely a better team and they'd take em down in a series but it's a bad matchup.
  4. If they wait till the off-season to resign Lavine they could theoretically make moves that push them to the cap then with Lavines bird rights they could go over the cap to resign him. Signing him now prohibits what they can do cap wise.
  5. I'm with you on this. Especially if Vuc can do what we know he can do offensively, I don't think they have to add a superstar to disrupt what has been working so well offensively. I'd love to get someone without having to give up the Portland pick. Idk what Barnes would cost, but I'd be more than fine with him. The guy I still have my eye on is Covington. I think he's the perfect fit for what the Bulls like to do defensively.
  6. Can we get Nance AND Covington for the 1st and Coby?
  7. Ha, I'm cool with that. Man the more I look into Covington, the more I like the fit. I think he really fits what the Bulls do defensively. He lead the league in tipped balls and is one of the most disruptive defenders in the league.
  8. Hate to see him go, but if he goes, can get give us a sweet deal on Nurik or Covington? Covington could be a good fit here.
  9. I wish Golden State wasn't so damn good right now. Lavine and Draymon Green are said to be really close friends, but I can't really see them giving up Green right now especially since Williams would have to be a main piece and he's hurt. There were rumblings early on that they may trade him.
  10. I think maybe I'm looking into his height too much, but is Grant really the guy we want? He's 6'6". I know positionless basketball is very much a thing right now butttt.....
  11. He's not exactly the player I want, but what do we think about Kevin Love? He's graded pretty well defensively this year, but he's not the rim protector I think they need. Same for Grant and Barnes. Mo Bamba is a guy I'd look in to.
  12. Saw a tweet from the Hornets game that said Vooch/DeRozan/Lavine was the first trio of teammates to put up 25/5/5 in the same game since 2010......They we're 2 assists a piece from DDR and Vooch away from doing that 2 games in a row... If those 3 guys can gel like that the whole season, there's really no reason this team can't be a title contender. I'm not even sure they really need a big like Christian Wood or KAT that can score, they could really just use a good defensive big with some size..
  13. Hard Carl is hard to figure out for me. There may be a team out there that may give him more years and/or money than I'd be comfortable with but I would absolutely welcome him back under the right terms.
  14. Worth even less of note right now, but the Sox have the 2nd highest payroll on the books going into 2023 and that's without a Giolito extension. Gotta figure that puts adds at least 20 schmill which gives them the top payroll in the league going into 2023. Certainly not saying they should stop now or anything but they are far from cheap right now.
  15. It was sarcasm. Lol. I don't know if they'll end up top 5 in payroll at the start of the season but right now there is a 53 million dollar gap between 5th and 10th. Of course I'd like to see them still operating in the top 5 as they should, but let's not act like they're super cheap. Still would like to see a Giolito extension happen soon as well.
  16. So wait.....you mean to tell me teams are still adding players?
  17. Fun fact, White Sox are currently 5th in payroll. I of course would like them to add more, and I think they will, but the cheap narrative is old and tired.
  18. How fun would a team with Lonzo, LaMelo, and Lavine be? You could stash Liangelo at the back of the bench.
  19. I wonder if Portland blows it up and makes him available. We can trade them their pick back right?
  20. I have no idea how it's quantified or how much stock I should put into it, but of centers with more than 10 min played per game, Tony Bradley is 3rd in defensive rating. He's no bueno offensively, at least this far, but with the offensive pieces around him, should he be looked at as a guy who should get more minutes?
  21. It's wild that Caruso scored no points, in big minutes, but was +28 for the day.
  22. Bulls are number 2 on NBAs power ranking. Whoda thunk it? At this point it's hard to argue with too. They beat a red hot Clippers team, a Nets team that's 8-2 in their last 10, an unbeaten Jazz team, a Mavs team that's the #4 seed in the West, and if you wanna go back to preseason, they beat the 4th seed in the east twice too.
  23. I never got it either. I don't understand the knock on players who don't really shoot the 3 ball all that well. I understand they are vastly different players, but Giannis is a 2x MVP and just lead his team to a title all while shooting just 30% from 3.
  24. Really hope he comes in and plays well. How nice would that be if he can fill that PF roll and the bulls don't have to trade Coby or any assets for a big.
  25. If the Bulls go 3-2 on this road trip, are we ready to say this team is for real? What about 4-1? Do they need to add a legit big for you to consider them contenders? Do you already consider them contenders?
