  1. This is the first time in years I can remember Robert letting it rip from the outfield. It’s been so long since you’ve actually seen him try and throw someone out at home in what seems like forever. Don’t even care that they were both dumb throws.
  2. Has anyone seen those dugout videos Brooke Fletcher puts out after home runs? Call my crazy but it actually looks like Luis is having fun playing with Colson? Wouldn’t it be something if Robert actually became what he could because he actually had a teammate he finally enjoyed playing with? Obviously very slim chance but he’s been much better since Colson has been up
  3. I continually forget Grady is still on the staff until I see him in the dugout.
  4. Im not sure that its just Charlotte. It seems like a lot of those stadiums are small.
  5. They only start using MLB balls in AAA and Charlotte is an absolute bandbox. Im not sure why they send guys there if they are actual prospects.
  6. I wonder if Taylor will pitch today. Its been a week since he's thrown 8 pitches.
  7. Well that changed in a hurry. Whether they win or lose, its nice to not have a team that doesn't just cave as soon as they go down.
  8. Ya I wanted to say that I thought they said it affect LHH more, but wasn't sure.
  9. Is it right handed or left handed hitters that really struggle in Seattle. I heard something about how the batters eye affects one side of the plate more then the other. The Mariners offense is actually not very good at home. Much better on the road.
  10. Mutual for $10 mil.
  11. I may be in the minority but I have no issue with them keeping Luis. They have nothing committed to payroll next year and no one knocking at the door to be an every day CFer. Also, I would consider keeping him through the end of his contract. If they aren’t contending for the division in 2 years with the talent they have already acquired then what was the point of it all. And if the offers are crap why would you move him for the hope that some of the players even make the majors let alone have the defensive and base running ability Luis has.
  12. Not sure what Vasil's long term is with the Sox, but he is an incredibly likeable player. I hope he's around for a while.

Why is Antonacci showing up in the W-S box score today?
  14. Its nice to see Fegan confirm that Montgomery using a torpedo bat is a recent development. I asked a week or so ago if anyone notice when he switched and it looks like he did it during the Colorado series. Maybe it will make a significant difference for him.
  15. Its been a while since they've played a game like this. Also, dudes out of position has hurt them this game.
  16. Meidroth really does have a 2B arm
  17. Colson should've crushed that hanging changeup
  18. Did anyone notice or know when Montgomery went to the torpedo bat?
  19. Vasil seems like great interview and just a funny guy. He very quickly shot down the idea that the Sox are behind in technology. I know he probably wouldnt say anything other then that but he did give specific examples.
  20. I agree. The one on the knee cap he had no chance to avoid.
  21. I actually think he was rushed in a lot of ways. '21 he played in 26 games in AZ. '22 he played in 96 games reaching AA for 14 games. '23 he played 64 games with only 37 games at AA. Last year was the most games he played at 130 all in AAA. To me, as a HS drafted player to only play 51 games at AA over 2 seasons seems like some development was skipped at those levels. Also, not all development is linear. Even this year, he has the horrid start, goes to AZ comes back and looks better. He then proceeds to get hit with a fastball on the knee cap and then a few days later gets hit in the hand. I know no one else really pointed anything out, so maybe it was just me, but it looked like his hand was still bothering him some up until recently. I thought I noticed him many times shaking has hand off after foul balls as if he was still in some discomfort.
  22. Colson homered on the first pitch he saw today. Now its starting to get interesting again .
