Not sure I can remember an inning where the Sox have made a pitcher work like this in a long long time.

I'd tell Colson he isn't allowed to swing at a first pitch in any at bat for a week straight. He constantly is down in every count.

He is 4th on the team in RBI.

Probably dont want him facing the top of the order for the third time. Also, probably wont to get some guys some work with the off day tomorrow.

So far he has been a guy that when he's off, the AB's are ugly, not just unproductive.

It'll be nice in about a month when hopefully the lineup includes Mune, Teel, B Montgomery, with Gonzalez staying. That's a lineup with a lot of depth.

I feel like they wanted him on the Colson timeline debuting around the 4th, but a couple of weeks early wont hurt. He's continued to hit at AAA even though I think he was trying to play through something about a week and a half ago.

Agreed. The HR's were nice early on but he's generally been a tough AB to watch lately and his work behind the plate seems suspect as well.

I said it last night. I think he debuts at home next week. Nashida is providing nothing that Montgomery wouldn't and it makes sense with the schedule coming up.

It's nights like tonight when the lineup reminds you they are still a bit away.

Ian is hinting someone is coming up. I'd be surprised if it was Braden. Only other one that has earned it is Gonzalez. Just not sure where he plays right now.

Thankfully this is the last west coast trip this year. They need to get out of there. The last 4 games have not been inspiring. Seems like a lot of the problems from the last three years have crept back in.

They are just trying to hold on until one of McDougal, Smith, Smith, Thorpe, Adams are ready. When that is, who knows?

I know that Peoples isn’t on the 40 man but Leasure is just a AAAA reliever at this point. DFA him and if someone claims him then oh well. He is far too prone to giving up HRs. Feel bad for him but at this point he’s just not worth putting in the pen anymore.
