I think this series is huge. I'm not saying we HAVE to take 2 of 3. We do need 1 and we need to be competitive in the other 2. If we get owned like we have been it'll be very disappointing. Tonight is big bc we have the type of pitching match up we should win.

my main concern is what this does to Cleveland not SD. i dont know enough about who Cleve got. Does this make them better this year? Next?

LOL emotions aside we did not want Cleveland to get more from SD.

Why? The Cleveland is in our division. SD is not. We just holding grudges over Tatis Jr and Machado?

Personally I would not care. If we won the WS add an * all you want. What would worry me more is trading prospects away and a COVID outbreak causes the season to be cx.

I think we end up with someone like Cobb. A SP that will make us better without giving up much. I dont think Cleve would trade us Clev and I dont want him for what he would cost. I think Lynn, while great, will get too much. I would be fine with Kopech to be traded only if itis for Woodruff.

If we get Ray, which is very meh, we better get Marte too.

Do we think Dunning can be stretched out and throw 100 pitches in the playoffs?

im surprised people are willing to trade any of our top people for Lynn. He is 33. Dont get me wrong, he is good, but I would not trade any significant pieces for him.

ive only recently been able to listen to them a lot. i really like them. i like when jason specifically asks Stoney what he would do, why he would do it, etc.

this was the most dominant NH I have watched. MB's were great but no one on Pitt even hit him hard (maybe last at bat). Only 1 good defensive play. mad props to McCann. Shook off once and he framed some nice pitches too.

lol I did.... she does not u/s why its a big deal as long as we're winning. Mind you, I met her when she moved back to FL from Chicago and she is a Cub's "fan". So, of course she does not get it.

My wife doesn't understand why I'm freaking out on every out when we're winning.

Not sure we trade for anything of importance bc of the uncertainty of the season. I could Gausman. Isnt he a FA after this year? He'd be an upgrade for us this year without having Marco for several more years. 2020: Giolito/DK/Cease/Gausman/Reylo, Rodon, Dunning,... whoever. 2021 We go after Bauer. Possibly: Gio, Bauer, DK, Cease, Kopech plus depth with Dunning. For 2021 unless something shocking happens I see ReyLo to the pen and Rodon either let go or to the pen.

I'm a huge fan but we're not going to pay for what he wants... to be a starter... which he's earned. Its a situation that sucks for us but you can't fault either side.

I was fully in the give him a chance with a decent team train. He has one. It has holes. We have injuries. I get that. But he makes stupid line-ups and does not use the BP well. Those 2 things are not related to injuries or its holes. It's him. I am now on board that he needs to go. Its not a Sox thing to fire a manager but it would be refreshing so bring in Jirschele. I want to see what a progressive manager can do.
