Yeah. I think it comes down to Robert. Do Sox want Robert to be the Alfonso Soriano leadoff type with 40 homers or slot him at #2 or #5. Moncada as a #2 just works I think. If I had my way for 2021- 1. Robert 2. Moncada 3. Jimenez 4. Vaughn 5. JD Martinez/Collins/Burger DH 6. McCann/Collins 7. Anderson 8. RF FA 9. Madrigal For 2020 I think JD is the target for DH and you put whomever at first.

Having him hit with Robert again is not a bad thing. Also..hoping that change of scenery can light a fire a bit and he embraces the chance. Also good that barons are finally starting to hit as a team more...that can be contagious hopefully. And since yolmer is really it and will be looking at 6-7 mil in arbitration...I don't mind this one bit. Save that money for a RF bat

With drafting Vaughn ..literally the entire infield will be home grown...and McCann / Collins will be your catcher/DH set. Jimenez and Robert will be once again homegrown ...having one FA in your lineup for a rebuild is pretty dang successful.

Looking at the list of Best Available from BA...it seems like a lot of pitching...I thought this was a very weak pitching draft? Or was that just first round talent? I definitely want the Sox to go after a top sign issue guy though, and try and snag first round talent if possible.

Did we just see a GB comparison to the most toolsy, dynamic player the Sox have maybe ever had in the minors? If Robert fails in MLB...it's because he has chronic injury issues...not because he strikes out at 21%. His wrists and body makeup are no joke.

It's almost like he maybe was overcoming a wrist injury and figuring things out...

At this point...we are a few weeks away from actually talking wild card. Add Keuchel, cease and a healthy eloy to the mix, and it's not crazy talk anymore...

I think it is very realistic to pencil in Robert starting May 1st in center field. The biggest question is do they retain Abreu or look to FA for a first baseman or does eloy or Collins fill that roll? If they can somehow dump Alonso and let Abreu walk they could really look into Martinez who would be a perfect fit at DH and really strengthen the lineup.
