Taker worked a house show last night. He looked a little heavy, but that's probably to be expected. He wasn't obese, just a bit paunchy for him. -

I wonder if this will hurt his push? Jack Swagger was arrested following Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings in Mississippi. TMZ is now reporting that Jack Swagger has been charged with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding. These charges are all misdemeanors. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 03:59 PM) Guess I'm in the minority here but I really like Ambrose. Anywho, the new belt is ugly as hell. I think everyone is happy the spinner belt is gone but damn they f***ed this new one up bad. It looks like a toy, which is not surprising. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 19, 2013 -> 12:50 PM) I have tried but the Shield does nothing for me. They seem like misplaced midcarders with not much upside being booked to the moon! Announcers comparing them to the Freebirds is nonsense! I feel the same way. I keep waiting for a great promo out of Dean Ambrose, but everything they do and say is just okay or less than okay. Underwhelmed. -

The Wings aren't that good this year, but Emery's probably getting the start, so it should be a tough game to win. -

I want a very quick repeat of the Carcillo Hat Trick. Penalty/Suspension/Injury (to himself) on the same play. I was so bummed out when the Hawks re-signed that moron. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 17, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) Taz as a groomsman joined Ace's & 8........Broke up Brooke/Bully Ray wedding.............I did like they used his real name Mark during wedding. Not sure if I like this or not. I think the "heel commentator" thing is kind of played out, but I guess this extends the angle without doing the main reveal. To me it seems like they still don't know who they want the leader to be. Still, as long as it's not Hogan, Bischoff or Jarrett.... -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 11, 2013 -> 03:00 PM) I hope Bully Ray puts Brooke thru a table next week and Hulk makes the save and Bully Ray is the leader of Ace's and 8's. If not this is a terrible angle! This is the only way for the A&8 angle to go. Oh, and after Bully is shown to be the leader, how about they win a few matches? Has any heel faction ever been booked to look as weak as they've been? -

Yeah, Billy is acting like Punk's not just getting heel heat. That's how it's done these days, Billy. You can't just say how big your arms are anymore, "Daddy". -

CM Punk's "doctor" on Raw last night was named Samuel De Cero. This made me laugh, because I remember that name very well. One more reason why I enjoy Punk so much - the inside jokes and references. Here's Sam's Wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_DeCero -

I've seen postings on message boards saying NBC has sent notices to advertisers that the NHL will return on 1/19. Not sold on this, since I don't trust either side, but if they are indeed sending word to advertisers, this would indicate something is imminent. In maybe-related news, the ever-wacky Ilya Bryzgalov has left his KHL team: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/frequen...-is-ending.html -
My wife and I saw This Is 40 (which was OK, but pretty depressing for a comedy) and then went to the Wild Monk in LaGrange for dinner and drinks with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Had a very nice time and some very good food. Can't complain at all about the entire night.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 02:13 PM) His early 80's stuff was epic. The old NWA with the Four Horseman Yep. The Horsemen were great, and Flair at that time was the best talker in the game. However, he has overstayed his welcome longer than anyone in the history of the business, mostly because he lived his gimmick while marrying far too many women. His promos lately are embarrassing, he has no concept of letting the other guy talk, and he REALLY needs to stop getting involved physically. Not much sadder than a flabby old man "getting color" in a suit with a ripped shirt. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2012 -> 10:33 PM) How long did everyone last after the last one? My cousin had access to a suite, so I was unable to resist free hockey, free food and free alcohol. The suite is a thing of the past, so that temptation is off the table. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 13, 2012 -> 03:21 PM) After the baseball strike of 1994 I didn't go to a game for 3 years. I can make it at least that long for hockey. That's how long I sat out, too. I don't know how long I'll skip the Hawks, but I can guarantee it'll be more than one season. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 12, 2012 -> 11:24 AM) Who cares, Bettman is three thousand times worse than any. I wish the fans just wouldn't come back this time, but we will. We're suckers. Losing two seasons in one decade is a f***ing joke. IMO anyone who pays to go to an NHL game for at least one season after they decide to come back is proving their point that NHL fans are suckers and will take any abuse and come back happily. If you're griping about this as a fan, it's on you to make them pay for it this time. Enough is enough. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 05:24 PM) Not a Relationship situation but I felt I was being stalked and harassed by an older married woman at work. When she first started, I would be polite and converse with her but I never had any interest in her. Not attracted to her at all. She got my cell phone out of the office directory and started texting me. Nothing major but things about work. I didn't think anything of it and told her it was fine that she has my number since we work together. Soon after that, things got weird. She started texting me personal things but never talked like that to me in person. I knew her daughter and at first thought she was messing with me but than one day at work referred o her texting me. She would start telling me she doesn't love her husband and had feelings for me. Asked me to meet her for lunch, and a couple times asked me to come to her house. During all this, I told her she needed to leave me alone and I didn't have feelings for her. Tried to be harsh, saying I didn't find her attractive. She than started texting me about her therapy sessions and how she wants to leave her husband. Than told her I don't care to hear that and threatened to go to management, which I didn't want o do. Than she got vicious and started calling me a child and other put downs. I just started ignoring her texts and even at work and se eventually left me alone. She tries to be polite at work but I don't even acknowledge her. If she starts again, I'm definitely going to management. Maybe I'm paranoid or cynical, but I think I'd take the texts (with the explanation of how she got your number) to management before she gets nutso and tries to accuse you of something to them. Not to push them to do anything at this point, just to bring them up to speed on what's gone on thus far so you have background with them in case she tries to damage you at work.

QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 06:02 PM) I'd never even heard of Black Friday. But now, this year, thanks to this site, I have. I had been thinking of getting a smart tv in the new year... I'm tempted to go on Amazon and see what's available. A bit cautious about getting a tv shipped from the U.S. to Ireland, but I suppose it would be up to the sellers to make sure it got here safely? Also going to peruse the White Sox online shop to pick up a couple of things. Just need to work out what size I am in U.S. fittings. Also, authentic versus replica jersies - what are the major differences and is it worth the price difference to go for the authentic?? Use amazon.co.uk - they'll be better able to take care of deliveries to Ireland.
