So I heard on the radio that the turnout for Federline was so bad that they held up the start of the show for a couple hours, hoping that more people would turn up. It is encouraging that people aren't falling for crap like him and Paris Hilton as "recording artists". Usually junk like this goes to the top of the charts (e.g., "My Humps").

QUOTE(juddling @ Nov 8, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) If you look at Ticketmaster for K-Fed's show at the House of Blues tonight...they are literally GIVING the tickets away....with their convience fee added of course. Maybe if they waived the TicketBastard fees..... Couldn't happen to a less likable, less talented guy.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 7, 2006 -> 06:04 PM) Wow, AWESOME Survivor Series Match just announced. Shawn Michaels, HHH, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and CM Punk vs. Edge, Randy Orthon, Johnny Nitro, Gregory Helms, and Mike Knox Wow. I wonder how many family members they have, to BOOST THAT BUYRATE!!! Yikes, that is a craptastic match.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 08:43 PM) Kevin Federline just cut the worst promo I have ever seen. Unreal, the WWE is using K-Fed to try to boost ratings... Well, now we know the reason for the horrible promo - his mind was obviously elsewhere because of the papers being filed. ....OR, he just flat-out sucks. Either/Or....

It was all that time Kev was away with his rasslin' career that drove a wedge between them. Well, I just hope they find someone reasonably intelligent to raise their kids.

QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 01:08 PM) i think there is far more interest in them. I'm just saying, cause the pixies dvd apparently shows them barely talking to each other and essentially in it for the $$ as zappa would say. That movie was (is?) showing at the Music Box Theatre, and I was interested in seeing it until I read some reviews saying that they didn't speak to each other much at all. That doesn't interest me at all. Raygun sounded really happy to be playing again, so I'm hopeful that it'll last a while. Some new Raygun music wouldn't suck, either.

QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 12:08 PM) whats with all those bands getting back together. I guess they've been gone long enough to get nostalgic about it, and there's still enough interest to get some easy paydays. It's a win/win.

QUOTE(beautox @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 10:59 AM) Yeah, they schould just get on the pegboy program, like one to two shows a year in the greater Chicagoland area, thats all im asking for. In a perfect world, they'd play the same bill, with The Methadones opening. Buzzing Guitar Heaven, that would be!

QUOTE(beautox @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) i was driving home from practice tonight and found an old mix cd, and threw it on. It was all naked raygun/husker du/replacements, Naked Raygun might be getting back togeather to do more shows they recently played riot fest, so one can only hope When Ryan Manno asked them about their future plans, they said "Let's just get past Riot Fest to start", but they also mentioned that they contacted the promoter to see if they'd be interested in having Raygun play, so it's not like they were coaxed into reuniting. They sounded happy and upbeat, so I'm hoping this is at least a short-term full-time thing. Man, I really hope they at least do the occasional show - they were/are SO good. On the same program, Manno spoke with Oderus Urungus of GWAR, and he mentioned their 20th anniversary release, which is titled Blood, Bath and Beyond.

Naked Raygun just did two songs on Q101's Crash Test Radio. "Vanilla Blue" and "Home Of The Brave". I am marking out like a fool!!! They still bring it like they always did!!!

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 5, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) 26.4 million this weekend. Over 30 grand per theater average. Damn. That's a lot of Yakov Smirnoff fans right there....

Is it possible for Iraq to go any more batsh*t crazy than it already is over this ruling? Or has his support dried up enough that this won't make a difference until Hanging Day itself?

QUOTE(3E8 @ Nov 4, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) On rottentomatoes.com, 120 positive reviews vs 5 negative reviews. Higher rating than Departed. Why did Fox choose to limit the screens so much on opening weekend? From what I read, they weren't confident about positive Internet buzz. I personally don't see the appeal of Borat (I've seen a ton of stuff on the Web and I haven't laughed yet), but it's doing very well.

QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) Not trying to be a male pig, but Steph does seem like the kind of woman who would have trouble losing the baby weight. I don't know about that, but that's not why I'm vomiting. I depreciate her for her MIND.

They already have abstinence-for-adults programs. They're called Star Trek Fan Conventions.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 31, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) I didnt know he wasnt there to pitch in the rotation when they needed him most. Comprehension clouded by fanboyism.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 31, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) No Sh*t, he can dog it all he wants for me. Too bad for Cubs fans that he was absolutely invisible when they needed him most. The vast majority of his numbers last season came when the season was lost and done with, and he could officially shift into "play for the new contract mode". He's the Joe Murphy of baseball - nice numbers, but all of them empty and meaningless.

IE7 is worthless. My daughter uses IE to access nickjr.com - for some reason it works better with IE than Firefox - so I foolishly downloaded the "upgrade". Once it was downloaded, I couldn't stream music anymore, my MusicMatch wouldn't open, Windows Media Player wouldn't open properly, and the browser would freeze when there was more than one tab open. God, that was fun. Once I removed IE7 from my computer, all those programs and functions returned to normal. Good riddance, IE7, and thanks again for all those wonderful enhancements.
