I guess they want the angry second-guessers to pay through the nose for the privelege of spewing their bile at Sox management.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:54 AM) http://www.talkbhawks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=227 Hawky Tawky? Who the hell posts THERE???? Although....there are probably more posters on that board than fans at the UC when Columbus or Nashville come to town..... And yourself, young man!

Pat Foley signed on as the new voice of the Chicago Wolves. He must have wanted to stay in Chicago more than staying in the NHL.

QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) when is this stupid mcmahon vs DX feud going to end????????????? If there is any mercy in the world, it'll end at the Unforgiven PPV. Hey, anybody see that "The Ratings Killer", Randy O, got failed another drug test (pot) by Vince again? But it's not going to lead to a suspension, he's just going to get docked some pay. I guess his "punishment" is that he still has to work PPVs and Raw, but all he'll get paid for a couple months is expense money. No PPV buyrate bonus, no regular salary. It's "sort of" a punishment, certainly better than a paid suspension, but it still doesn't seem too harsh.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 01:18 AM) And thats exactly what Ozzie did, Thorty was up and ready. @ "Thorty". Maybe "Thorns" would be better???

QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 08:28 PM) If Hafner played for the Yankees or Red Sox Chris Berman would rub one off every night fantasizing about Pronk. Thanks for the most disturbing imagery ever produced at this site. Berman tuggin' one out to Hafner.....

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) Frank just put one out. He has now homered in 6 straight games. New team record.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) It's Da Mayer, he gets what he wants. I really miss Chicago. When is his kid going to be ready to be da mayer? Can you replace a King before the previous one dies?

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 04:28 PM) Ahh.. so now that you've moved out of Illinois your true fairweather fan colors are showing.. Yeah, he thinks no one can come get him now, but he's forgotten about GAGE THE MERCILESS!!!!

I have no logical reason to feel this way, but I can't shake the feeling that the Sox will finally go on that run we've been waiting for this week. Wishful thinking, probably....
-
QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) Because a cause has not been determined. He could have been "murdered", "od'd" , or just plain "died". Ahh, okay.....although really, no matter the cause, he still died. It just seemed odd to have it in quotes.
-
Just curious, why did you put died in quotes? Condolences to Daniel's family on their loss, and congrats to Smith on the birth of her daughter.

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 12:13 PM) On these boards? Both, by a mile. In terms of baseball performance? McCarthy, by a country mile. He's excelling at not excelling these days.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) the last Tigers series was also the last time we put together a 3 game winning streak FWIW. Gonna need a couple more of those 3-game-or-more winning streaks before this is over or the Sox will watch the playoffs. It's hard to even stay "pessimistically hopeful" lately.
-
I like Hafner, it's too bad he's done for the year.
-
QUOTE(MSHAWKS @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 10:49 AM) He has also had the most in the AL since the all-star break. Thome had a great first half, Thomas has had a great second half. (Thome certainly hasn't had a terrible second half, either) I didn't see all that much "Frank can really help us" talk in April and May.
-
QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) Razor Shines, how can you not like that name? It is still no where compared to Thump Belton. All-time funniest baseball names: Rusty Kuntz Dick Pole

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 09:59 AM) Detroit is falling like a rock, while we just kind of float in space. The 3 games left against Detroit for us are HUGE. 3 must-win's, in my opinion. The Sox are maddening in their inability to win winnable games lately.
-
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) if this isn't "Palehose Talk," I don't know what is. Frank Thomas is an Oakland Athletic, sir.... I was just mentioning that there was another discussion going on, Mr. Sensitive.

QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 07:09 AM) Taking steroids does not improve your eyesight, or your hand-eye coordination. That might be what you meant, but you are incorrect. I remember hearing some talk on the radio that Bonds' eyesight actually did test better post-roids, but who knows if that's true, and if it is, who really knows if that's related to the roids? I really dislike Bonds as a public figure (I don't know him as a person), but it is amazing nonetheless what he's been able to do at his age and with the physical breakdowns he's suffered.
