I chose Paulie just because those two first-inning homers on the road opened up a comfortable lead and allowed the Sox to play their game. For him to do that on the West Coast, where the Sox had such a bugaboo in recent years, was really huge IMO, and worthy of my MVP vote. But this was truly a team victory, as every Sox win has been this year. Proof that a TEAM will beat a group of individuals, and also proof of that old baseball nugget that "good pitching beats good hitting".....except that the Sox pitching wasn't good, it was PHENOMENAL.

I don't need anything else other than what JUST happened to make this a PERFECT weekend!!!!

What he is is the FIRST manager to lead a White Sox team to the World Series since 1959, and the FIRST White Sox manager to have to win TWO playoff series to get there!!! Is he a PERFECT manager? For Cubbie watchers, the Sox are now closer than their 2003 team was. 3 outs and counting. But it means NOTHING if they can't get those 3.....so GO GET SOME INSURANCE AND CLOSE THIS s*** OUT!!!!!!

Yep, if people would stop trying to live vicariously through celebrities, these intrusive, lawbreaking, stalking dips*** paparazzi would be less in demand and lower-paid, and by extension this s*** would become less frequent, if not vanish altogether. But people are star-struck jackasses so the paparazzi will always have a place in the modern world, and THAT is unfortunate.

This has been more surreal the closer it gets to......you know..... I'm 100% certain the players have not gotten ahead of themselves. There are too many recent examples ( Red Cubs coming back, Blue Cubs collapsing ) for the Sox to put the cart before the horse. Last night Paulie put me at ease for the entire game. That blast just seemed to put everything right in place. This season has been so emotional, even in the Dark Days of September. It's been fantastic, and is about to get even better IF.....YOU KNOW.......

I'd still want to live, but 5 more wins WOULD be nice.....
