I think he's as is in the know as most other sox insiders; that means he may know one thing a year, but in general he knows nothing outside of some buddies opinion, or misinformation. I'll use raBBit as an example. All he did was tell Soxtalk he had worked so much he doesn't talk to Sox people anymore and yada yada when the Sox were bad... now the Sox are good last 8ish months and guy is out on twitter posting rumor after rumor from his "sources" that 12 months ago he no longer had.

I don't want to hear that he was right and something fell through either. This guy said a trade has been completed and involves MLB talent from both sides and the Sox fans will be very happy. When I wake up tomorrow and we still have all our young talent I will be doubly happy; happy we didn't move anything for a question, and happy Cishek can RIP.

The low key best thing that may come from tonight is we'll stop have to listening to people tell us how connected not steve cishek is.

I think the Sox have developed enough talent now, and improved enough acquired guys, that I would feel comfortable with them moving anyone but for Vaughn... maybe Kopech because he just reminds me so much of a young Verlander with the stuff, needing to find the command and etc. I just think the Sox have shown they're going to pop out more talent from this past draft and future ones. That confidence makes Stievers and Dunning's expendable because you should be finding those guys consistently going forward.

Yeah, and Giolito, Lynn and Keuchel is not that much worse at this point in time. They are absolutely worse, but they are capable of pitching to that level.

Just for kicks because some people seem to think 2019 with Cole/Scherzer/Verlander/Stras is the norm. In 2018, of starters who made at least 3 starts in the post-season the lowest ERA's were as follows: 1. Wade Miley (1.23) 2. Jouhlys Chacin (1.46) 3. Rich Hill (2.16) Enough of the only elite electric arms win games in the playoffs.

Jack thinks you need an experienced veteran to succeed in the playoffs, but not an experienced veteran like Keuchel because those kind sucks. If you don't have Gerrit Cole, you might as well just not show up apparently.

Jack, you have had some of the worst takes I've ever read in the past few days. Keuchel has thrown 59 career post-season innings; he has a 3.47 ERA which is actually LOWER than his career ERA. So your theory that he just can't succeed in the playoffs only makes sense if you ignore the actual 60 INNINGS he's thrown. GIolito has been one of the 10 best starters in baseball in the last 1 + year, and amazingly enough they play with the same ball and rules in the playoffs! It's almost like being able to control your emotions to throw something like a no-hitter. These are just so terrible.
