  1. It's a little worse when your GM is the worst talent evaluator in the game.
  2. Sox trade one of the five best pitchers in baseball and a reliable #3/4 and replace them with nobody... "I think our rotation will be better." It wouldn't shock me if crochet out values the entire pitching staff.
  3. Vaughn lol! OK, it's 1:00. Time to watch real baseball. Enjoy gents!
  4. Was hilarious. I think the Sox will find at least 2 real starters out of this group, but those who thought the unit were solid had lost their mind and just ignored all the data available to them. Bullpen is horrible, which is the true reflection of Getz.
  5. I guess at least I got tork and Reese going for me today - might as well cash in on the misery!
  6. Sucks when the Sox are only game on for an hour and I have to watch.
  7. Harold was spot on in his post, but his conclusion was laughable. No one is paying CHICAGO market value for a team and then moving it to Nashville and immediately degrading the value of their purchase. I'm not sure what people are missing. The estimated value of the Nashville franchise (new) was a 1-1.2 billion roughly. He just paid 1.9 in value for the White Sox. Certainly not a billionaire making wise financial decisions. AND, he wouldn't build a 75 million dollar home in a place only to become a toxic individual in that city.
  8. Harold, stick to calling Jared Kelenic a future HOF'er.
  9. I like Garrett more than Skubal, but i admit it's close and one could argue skubal is better.
  10. Crochet and Wheeler are the best pitchers in MLB. 8IP, 0 runs, 4 hits, 1BB against an elite offense.
  11. It's so sad I don't get to watch Crochet pitch for the Sox anymore just because our organization is such a joke.
  12. I'm watching Garret now, no need to watch this garbage anymore.
  13. It always ends up costing you a run or something too when you do something stupid like that.
  14. Jankowski lolol What a terrible jump. Glad he was in center instead of Taylor.
  15. It's honestly disgusting listening to billionaires lie and mislead. This is like buying a house for 200k, spending 200k, selling it for 3 million and saying you lost 200k on renovations. He bought the team for 285 million and sold it for 3.5 billion. If he lost 133 million a year he'd have broken even and and we know he didn't lose 133 million a year.
  16. Taylor was the 2nd best CF'er in baseball last year on a rate basis. There is no excuse for this bs.
  17. Not only that but Jankowski best position is RF and taylor has rarely played there in his career. These types of moves and decisions drive me nuts. It's spitting in the face of the data based on some stupid personal feeling/opinion.
  18. Taylor has been worth 77 DRS in CF in his career in 7100 innings. Jankowski had been worth 8 DRS in 1600 innings. He's been almost twice as good. Just one Stat but the results are across the board.
  19. He's not even close imo, which makes that odd. Also why does Sosa sit so much????
  20. I've traveled a lot in my life, and I think colombia is the most beautiful place I've been. I want to check out the Norway/Nordic next which I hear competes, but it's tough to beat this place. Want to get to the Amazon one of these days. My signal weak but just saw sox blew the record. Classic!!!
  21. We're in colombia for two weeks visiting the wife's family. A great start to parental leave AND a white sox mlb record to boot?!?!?
  22. Lol they're with the MIL and aunt in the city. Parents night.
  23. I'm outside manizalles. Technically "glamping" though since my wife wouldn't go all in on tent and hiking Colombia as safe as most any large US city - at least medillin and manizalles are. Some areas i won't go right now, but those are few and far between. Colombia still struggling from an old reputation from 30 years ago.
  24. In the middle of a mountain in colombia camping out and tuning in to see shane 1 inning away from a NEW mlb record. Let's get him one more inning and call it a day. The high point of a season on April 1st!
  25. While I agree with your thoughts in this thread generally speaking, society is so toxic about men showing emotion, this really doesn't bode well for Roki. There was already some concerns about his makeup given the pressure of a big market, and sports will eat you alive for this perceived weakness. Your own manager will lose trust in you if you can't manage the ups and downs. The last space perceived toxic masculinity is going to die out will be in sports clubhouses. Sometimes I'm envious of men who can express themselves emotionally, as I don't, but this isn't a space in which I'm envious because he has to overcome this to survive in MLB imo.
