  1. Here's what I can say without a doubt. My viewing experience this year has been hampered/damaged in no way by Schriffen compared to Benetti --- which was my entire point last year. The Sox are terrible and will be terrible to watch regardless of who calls the games. Schriffen has been whatever - he's actually been WAY better than I expected but he's still annoying and kind of blows. The pro-Benetti weirdo's were honestly as bad as the anti-Benetti people. There are still people posting clips of Jason Benetti talking on twitter and shaming Reinsdorf. Once you get "in" with the media crowd, everyone in that world will defend you beyond reason and act as though you're the reason people are watching the games.
  2. Because the White Sox have two good major league players. The majority of those prospects will not be good major leaguers. Oh and because they were supposed to be in their peak contention window from their last rebuild, this year, but instead they're one of the worst teams of all time. I don't know how anyone on earth doesn't completely understand the doom and gloom.
  3. Turns out nastrini got pneumonia which was the only reason his start was pushed back
  4. He threw two mistake middle middle fastballs to a stud and got lucky.
  5. Nastrini looks like he could be a nice 3/4. Fastball placement needs to get better but the slider and change were nice. Slider needs to be more competitive as he got a swing or two he won't get again. Crochet starts are must watch baseball. Everything else is terrible and even crochet starts are just worth watching his side of the ball.
  6. The sox have one of the most international brands in the game.
  7. You think you can just bring anyone into this clubhouse and risk them disrupting the great thing they have going right now?!?!?!?!
  8. What's absolutely wild to think about is that the White Sox pitching has FAR exceeded any possible expectations for this unit at the start... and I doubt there's much sustainability there beyond Crochet/Fedde, and the team is still absolutely terrible. Now they lose Robert. The bottom is low!
  9. Eloy never met a treadmill he didn't dry his clothes on.
  10. Kenny hated Rick and wanted to move Burger behind his back.
  11. The only way teams like the sox can lock up guys like crochet is to get him locked up early and take some of that risk.. Clevinger and Lorenzen are in no way worth more than crochet.
  12. I actually like crochet a ton because his arm doesn't have a lot of wear and tear or volume. If he can stay healthy he might have a lot of bullets left. Similar to someone like wheeler, not terrible to get hurt a bunch in your early 20s if you can find some health.
  13. No way grifol is doing anything on his own. This guy might as well be chris Getz in a mask.
  14. What I love about this org the most is they'll assure that even when something looks great, they'll do everything they can to make it less enjoyable. Crochet has to come out for the 7th... an inning most seasoned arms are being pulled before right now, so he can risk injury and lose his slim lead. Now crochet and us all get to be pissed together! Nice.
  15. Agreed, but I'm sure he'd be interested given his injury history too. I'd rather visit an extension at the all star break than a trade.
  16. Crochet is 24 years old. They could... you know, sign him? Sox don't plan on being good in the next 6 years. You watching what this guy is doing in his second big league start vs avcuna and an elite offense? The injury risk is large which is the big concern but if he shows me durability and sustained success this year I'm not moving.
  17. I love love love how much he comes inside to power hitting righties. Sale esque
  18. I loved them giving crochets credit to the guys who's beer belly has Lance Lynn gawking.
