3/31 Sox vs. Twins 1:10PM
Meidroth probably has a better shot at being a regular. Baldwin just doesn't have a carry skill, and he's light in a lot of areas. This team badly needs Sosa and Vargas to become MLB regulars. I have faith Sosa will do it, but it's scary to think we're relying on that. Relying, meaning we don't have other contenders on this roster to he even everyday regulars imo.

Yes, every team would be younger if you eliminate there older players from the calc.

He's a very good defender. Problem is the Sox aren't short on outfield defense so his purpose doesn't make any sense for this roster.

One of the Sox favorite past times is starting guys they're going to designate a few days later.

Alexander Canario
I still think a ++ GM could get a haul for robert. Values are set by market factors. Cf is incredibly weak and thin. Robert gives a team a huge edge over those they are competing with. You should be able to sell his value and ceiling given how weak the position is and talented he is.

Torpedo Bats
Exactly. It's obviously not a huge edge but I bet it makes a difference. Hitters need all the edges they can get these days.

Torpedo Bats
Most bats, interestingly enough, haven't maximized the circumference of their bats. This means the end really isn't that much thinner. Where the Yankees have taken this a step further (hilarious to hear sox just heard about it lol) is they've actually built custom barrels based on where the player most frequently makes contact. Volpes stack is more towards the handle than the sweet spot. This means I'd guess that you wouldn't see much difference in off-the end contact types and quality as the end of the bats have not changed much.

Sox Spring Training notes
After the Yankees hit 700 homers in two days I'm guessing we'll see a lot more trying. Would be nice to see hitters find an advantage for once after years of pitching gain

Lured Slater? Guys like Slater aren't getting promises in free agency, they're just thrilled to get a call.

That's an Opening Day Winner ‼️
They blew 36 saves in 55 opportunities. By far the worst rate in MLB.

That's an Opening Day Winner ‼️
Pitching has a way of making everything else look better and feel easier. They were the worst team of all time last year because of their bullpen. Burke is going to live and die by the fastball command. It's his big question mark for me. He found it about midway through the third and pretty much cruised from there. A better team might have punished him early, as the angels are bad, but that made the outcome that much better. Good situation for him and he took advantage.

Burke a great mix and the fastball is good when he commands it. It'll be his weakness when he's off, but the angels let him settle in. He's a guy.

I would but I'm not the first person to publicize this so not a big deal. Not sure what the hold up is on their end.

If I were a player I'd ask schiffren to not talk positively about me because it's always proceeded immediately by a bad outcome.

He's not a good center fielder, but you already have two defensive pluses in Center with Robert and Taylor. I'm sure Fletcher could match Janikowski in LF and RF.
