  1. Lol ahh yes, the classic white sox did nothing wrong with his development it was outside influence.
  2. We're really celebrating a team breaking a player to such an extent that he has to be removed from games to be fixed?
  3. Tim elko isn't creating a buzz for anyone imo. He's just earned the spot.
  4. I'm not saying he knows nothing, but he's been wrong plenty of times before... like when he said hiring Getz wasn't happening and didn't make sense.
  5. Yeah, I like all 3. Uni is trash but hats are great.
  6. That ucl injury really has impacted him and he hasn't found the velo and never had it fixed.
  7. Yeah, the reason I won't strongly argue warren over Love is because BJ was a tight ends coach and seems to know what he's doing there and I'm not and don't pretend to be one. If he likes him better, I'm fine taking him. My issue is with the idea this was a BJ pick. Coaches in the NFL do not have a strong track record with being the defacto GM and coach. Seperation between the two has been really important for most successful organizations even though they clearly work together.
  8. The 2nd tight end on the lions had 17 targets last year. Lions offense was best in nfl and they werent doing that with two tight ends. Kmet caught 47 of 55 total targets last year. There just isn't much room to improve the outcomes of that room. The gain is minimal at best. If Loveland plays in the slot it'll be once or twice a game, he certainly can't exist there more frequently. I'm far from an expert on players and their future outcomes, but I have a better understanding of team building and where to invest resources and what the bears are doing hasn't been a recipe for success historically.
  9. Those pats teams didn't have dj moore and rome. Only one football to go around.
  10. I hear you and the general argument, but I'd have taken the guy the niners did. They need line depth and health.
  11. Not sure what you're reading but on about 10 analysis i read, even the ones that liked Loveland more, have the blocking edge to warren.
  12. Name me another team who has invested this heavily in the tight end position. La Porta caught 60 balls for 700 yards as the only viable tight end for Johnson just last year. Now the bears have two tight ends. The production and value your going to get out of Loveland is so low. The bears have a nice receiving core, they need line help and depth. Poles is a disaster. Also, Warren is arguably a better blocker which makes this even worse. And my guy, thr second tight end in Detroit last year had 17 combined targets. This idea that you need two tight ends in Johnson system is bs. Running 12 doesn't mean you need to invest big money and resources in two tight ends. Detroit offense was pretty good with Brock Wright as te2.
  13. For me, its just bad team building. You've already invested in tight end and this was a luxury pick you make if your roster is built and stacked.
  14. I keep seeing this cited, but LaPorta is just another example as to why you shouldn't invest tier 1 picks on TE's. Sam was the 34th pick in the draft. Paying a premium for a TE when you're already paying a tight end is wild
  15. Vargas got a beer belly? Sheesh!
  16. That's OK. If he could actually be a 4, that's valuable. Pivetta just signed for 4 years 55 million. Problem is I don't think he's even a 5.
  17. Hagen smith can't throw strikes. I'm pretty worried about that guy. Schultz will be a dude though. Grant taylor >>>hagen imo
  18. I never really liked Martin and his stuff has taken a step back from last year. He might be a decent swing man but I don't think he establishes himself as a bonafide starter.
  19. Barring injury, zero doubt in my mind smith is a legit mlb starter. A #3 possibly! My concern is I think they needed to find 2 starters out of this group and I think I'm out on the rest- even burke who I liked a bit to start the year. Without drastic changes to that fastball command he's done.
  20. Still generating huge bat speed, but not sure how long it's in the zone for.
  21. Hahn actually understood how to acquire top talent. His problem is he had no idea how to fill in the middle and/or develop depth. Crazy to think the Sox could have Crochet, Sale, Cease, rodon and Chris bassitt in their rotation today if they simply spent money on their guys and developed position players.
  22. Caught looking the at bat before. He's in-between in a new way. He's unsure if he should attack or wait. Not good.
  23. What's funny is I've actually met and hung out with Getz on multiple occasions. He's an entertaining fun guy. In no way do I hate him personally. I hate him as the GM of a baseball team because he simply isn't qualified for the job. Nothing more to it.
  24. Flo Rida? Sox bringing artists who were last relevant when they were
