  1. Well, no series is a given with this team. But, you're not going to convince me the Royals don't suck
  2. I would feel pretty comfortable about penciling one of Gonzalez/Rutherford/Basabe/Adolfo to be a decent contributor. You don't have to just pick one.
  3. Maybe if they get some positive regression from the pitchers
  4. He's more of a HOFer than the other -aines
  5. At the end of the day, either one would have been an upgrade on either of the two of the worst spots in the lineup. They Got neither. It doesn't matter, now.
  6. One of Palka/Sanchez has to do something at some point right? Gah that's an ugly bottom two of an otherwise decent looking lineup at the moment.

And of course, they just sent one of those down.
  8. Nelly Fox played for the Sox half a century ago
  9. I 100% agree with your premise. I don't blame Coop for the players being bad, I blame the bad players. But it's still time Coop goes. Maybe it doesn't solve anything, but it's time to get someone in there that is willing to be flexible with the changes in the game and not so hard headed in his ways that had worked for so long. It's the same reason you're going to see a new manager on the North Side next year. They're a good front office who will let people go when it's time, even if the failures can't be traced to that one person.
  10. It would be so awesome if the Rays won this division.
  11. Brett Gardner’s face pisses me off
  12. He’s such a genuine goofball. It’s awesome
  13. It’s funny how small samples work. A whole lotta meh, then 1 good game and he’s sitting at 130 wRC+. I’m here for it though. Now excuse me as I go watch the homers ten times
  14. People were rough on Leary but I think he’s probably a more useful guy than Yolmer even if yolmer wasn’t floundering like he is.
  15. It’s amazing how much I feel the need to check At Bat when listening to the radio

And people aren't and shouldn't think that is acceptable
  17. After multiple division championships, winning seasons and a world series. Kenny the GM wasn't great by any means, but to act like he was THE problem (Or now getting in the way of the great Rick Hahn) is ridiculous.
  18. FWIW The Padres made the same mistake the Sox did letting the guy who botched the last build do it again. They lucked out.
  19. This post reminded me of the greatest tweet of all time https://mobile.twitter.com/dril/status/247222360309121024?lang=en
  20. Of course not. Guys the biggest coward in sports.
  21. You saw the valuation and profitability numbers right? They'll be fine. That's the problem.
  22. I don't want to jinx anything but Palka is 20 at-bats from catching Chris Davis should that guy ever get a hit again.
