  1. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Jun 11, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) Sooooo... season's over, huh? definitely!
  2. The new Voxtrot album is amazing...I couldn't wait for the release and I've really enjoyed the whole thing. Its great music to drive home with after an epically long day in the office
  3. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 10, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) what the f*** is this s***? This bullpen has to go. Its pretty difficult to rebuild an entire bullpen during the season...we have made our bed and must lay in it. It
  4. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:30 PM) It looks much cooler catching the ball on a bounce. All the kids are doing it now
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 10:27 PM) Haha....that's symptomatic of when you have such a s***ty bench that you have to put someone over there that's never played there. This team has quit on Ozzie. I never understand the pinch runner for Konerko with two outs in the 8th inning. Especially when you have no backup first baseman. Too often it bites us in the ass in the field or in extra innings when we have Andy Gonzalez hitting behind Thome.
  6. How was it bad luck that Terrero misplayed that ball? Wow we are bad. The days of fun bad have returned with a vengence!
  7. QUOTE(Wanne @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:29 AM) Sorry...maybe it's just me...but the most I'd pay for that thing is MAYBE 20 bucks. I just don't see it as that big a piece of memorabilia. Hell...the front page of the newspaper or sportspage framed from that day is more cool IMO. It just looks and seems kinda cheesy. That's just me though... I was at the game and the ball is going in a shadow box frame along with my game ticket and an 8 x 10 from that date. I would definitely qualify that as a "cool" piece of memorbilia. To each his own.
  8. Just FYI..I thought the trade was great and I still do. I was just throwing it out for conversation sake, and the fact that we found NO viable replacement for him in the offseason. Eduardo Perez was the guy but of course we released him. I love having Sisco and think his upside is far greater than what Gload ever could give us riding the pine for Ozzie.
  9. It would be mighty nice having a bat like Ross Gload coming off the bench to replace Thome's in our lineup...I'm not saying, I'm just saying. BTW, seeing him go 4-4 and bringing his average up to .307 for the season brought me upon this revelation.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ May 1, 2007 -> 08:25 PM) Embarrassing understatement
  11. Despite the good cut by Erstad, he strikes out. This series is like the ideal scenario for Hawk, he gets to watch Erstad plus he gets to see Grady Sizemore tear us up.
  12. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:48 AM) Hawk and DJ making excuses already its what they do best It seems they are on constant damage control when things look bleek.
  13. I could suit up three guys off of the street to have those three AB's against C.C.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:35 AM) Way to f***ing go Erstad. Inning should be over, instead, 1st and 2nd, 1 out. But Erstad is a baseball player!! Hawk just said so
  15. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:32 AM) WHAT Sabathia, Lee Sowers, Santana, Rogers, Maroth, when he gets healthy again Liriano, I'm sure the royals have a lefty who will dominate us No but they do have Greinke who are team is already afraid of facing. Erstad - very grinder-y play right there
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:18 AM) Looks like he's throwing about 88 mph. Can we blame the cold weather?
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:16 AM) Had a bad feeling about Molina handling the forkball. It's almost like catching a knuckler. This team is just really bad right now. I agree with Hawk, I'm thrilled we have the record that we do. I have a hard time with Gustavo Molina being a major league catcher.
  18. This, is horrible, this news is. Another year of watching prancing pods in left and leading off is bad enough, now the thought of watching him and Erstad back to back..dayum. So by grinderball we mean grinding out runs without putting our first two hitters on base? Sounds difficult
  19. Not at all...Of course the talent isn't what it was in the 80's or early 90's, but I think the games have been great, entertaining basketbal. IMO, there is room for years where the cream rises to the top and for the year of the upset. Both have their positives and negatives. Saturday was a phenomenal day of basketball and next weekend should be the same. This tournament is the only sporting event I get excited about even if my team isn't participating. I don't understand the outcry to change this tournament's structure by added more teams, but yet we continue on with the BCS system in football. How ridiculous.
  20. Draft time should work fine for me..If it needs to be changed basically I can only do night after 9 pm or Sundays... Team Name: Perceived Ignorance
  21. Up next for the Cubs - simulated hot tub soaking
  22. 1) What format you prefer playing (head to head or roto) Doesn't Matter, I guess Roto but I'll play either 2) Your relative level of experience (experience is not required to play, I'd just rather not put beginners in the stronger leagues) Very experienced, I'm old 3) Your league preference (if you have played before) I was in League 5 last year but I'll play anywhere 4) Whether or not you are willing to be a league commisioner (especially for people that have done it in the past and/or veteran players/posters) No thanks...
  23. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 08:10 AM) I was though! *snicker* Oh the joy of the classic Ben Davis Thread.
