QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 09:12 AM) I don't know one season ticket holder that was able to get extra Cubs or Opening Day tickets and all of them tried. Double

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 10, 2007 -> 01:33 PM) Two words...chill. I only see one word On to the topic at hand...its a pipe dream to think the White Sox would offer Miguel Cabrera anything close to the contract he will recieve from one of the other big market teams..like another poster above said, last big signing was in 1997, and we all know how that one turned out.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 10, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) The left field corner has only one parking lot - the players/managers lot. I don't think you're ever going to get parking passes for that area. Who the f*** do you think you are exactly? I'm quite aware of the location of the parking lots at the Cell. In fact I could diagram the damn lots for you if you want. The main lot, Lot B would be MUCH more convenient than Lots F or L that I'm stuck in now. I'm not asking to park in the players lot..I'm not an idiot, but thanks for your concern.

I feel better now that I ONLY paid $16 p/ game for Parking Passes. However, I'm still stuck with green passes AGAIN because the red pass holders are supposedly 'grandfathered' in. That really pissed me off because we have to park in the right field corner, but have to walk every game to the left field corner to our season tickets. Think they could make an exception for a group with 4 season tickets? Nope...horrible ticket reps. Although, at least my new rep returns phone calls unlike the one I had last season. Rant Over Go Sox!

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 09:30 PM) Now I cant take your advice on the other 2 movies anymore. For someone to enjoy Slither lol.... I feel more sorry for those who don't 'get' what Slither was trying to do...I watched it with six people, three liked it, and three found it dumb. It's enjoyable because its ridiculous. The plot sucks, the special effects are meh, the gore is over the top, the cast is horrible...but the movie works.

When they moved to the 2 to 6 time slot and vacated my lunch hour, a little piece of me died. B & B is a really great SHOW, I love their quirks, and even though I don't agree with everything they say, I still find it entertaining.

QUOTE(bmags @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 01:51 PM) the good shephard gets a big thumbs up from me. I give it a Thumbs Up as well. Good movie to watch once, probably not so good to rent. But overall I enjoyed the story and it kept me interested throughout. Other new movie I recently saw was Blood Diamond. It was exactly what I thought it was...and somehow I actually bought DiCaprio as an african diamond smuggler. Solid movie, nothing groundbreaking Last movie I recommend is Slither. Totally funny, ridiculous movie.

This is my new favorite Soxtalk thread... I would like to know where you live because the people in my line of sight everyday do not equate out to 60% good looking. Using your horribly flawed ratio scale I would go 20-60-20.

Who's NFL bandwagon are you on?

Patriots...no thanks -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Dec 26, 2006 -> 12:17 PM) Slow Sox year... I only got a new T-shirt. Besides that I did get a new ping-pong table Are you challenging me to a ping pong duel?? I pulled in a new winter coat (which was badly needed), a TomTom GPS thingy, and a bunch of useful gift cards. Nothin' White Sox, which was ok after all of the stuff I scored on my birthday. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 26, 2006 -> 03:53 AM) As early Christmas presents I got Rainbow 6 and a controller for 360. As my regular presents, I got $$$, gift cards, The Office Season 2, Entourage Season 1. The best gift 'Santa' could bring me would be success at my first live poker tourney/event. It's a charitable event where the rake goes to various charities. I'm coming with $200, and if I could leave with $500+, I'd be quite pleased. What event and where? I certainly might be interested!

Great list Bmags..very much appreciated. I love the site too, consider it added to my favorites. Was nice to see that I actually owned 6 of the albums on your list..apparantly my music likes/dislikes aren't as far off as I once thought.

QUOTE(bmags @ Dec 13, 2006 -> 10:12 PM) and what of the posts complaining about the posts complaining about the post? //thread I approve of those...has the season started up yet?

QUOTE(J-MAN @ Oct 18, 2006 -> 08:21 AM) Ditto! We haven't received anything either. Should I blame my nonresponsive and crabby Ticket rep?

I havent gotten anything yet either... And I'm a full season ticket holder

Thanks everyone! I'm feeling pretty old today..at least I got off of work today early

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) the reason that I stopped posting is because even though I still root for the team, this season was one of the worst in recent memory, just thank god we won last year so this is easier to swallow along with the bears and bulls being good but normally in a season you are either rooting for them to finish .500 or to make the playoffs we got over .500 easily, but then fell out of contention so there was nothing to watch for these last couple weeks I completely agree with you. I'm watching today because I've enjoyed watching the rookies play, and because I havent been able to watch a lot of games lately because of my new job.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 01:47 PM) This Jets/Colts game has been quite good up to halftime. I hate FOX, I just hate everything about it. They seem to love colorful, s***ty, elaborate graphics and a s***load of unnecessary sound. CBS on the other hand has a much better HD picture (FOX' is way too colorful) along with crisp, simple, blue graphics. In other words CBS >>>> FOX. I wish I had an HDTV..thats about all I have to say about that.

QUOTE(Brian @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 01:40 PM) Doesn't mean we/they aren't watching the game. Also a lot of MEANINGFUL football games going on. None of which are involving our home team. Sorry, I really can't stand message board charlatans. My opinion is not going to change.

QUOTE(TheOcho @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) I like Sweeney. I like lamp Javier 'I'll be back here next year" Vazquez gets thru the first inning.
-
Yea!!! We got a run in the first.................................................................. How come there are so many sox fans who call the realists and slightly negative fans on this board "bandwagon", but on the last day of the season there isn't even any posts in the gamethread? The irony is delicious.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 05:38 PM) I'm probably the only person who feels this way, but I'd like to see a Yankees vs Mets WS, with the Mets winning it all. I could deal with the Mets winning it all...and if it ends up being a subway series, which is highly likely, I won't watch an inning of any of the games.

Top 10 Outfield Options for 2007 in Free Agency
Chisoxrd5 replied to RME JICO's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'll take Ross G-load over all of these guys... Gary Matthews is about to be rewarded for his first good season this year...I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. -
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 07:21 PM) 8 Ks. But he's not Cy f***ing Young, people! I could only use the "not all guys can transition into being a reliever" routine so many times before I just gave up. BTW everyone, the BMac bandwagon has room for all of you people to get back on.

Am I the only one wondering what could have been had he started all season?
